IV'ing stigma

As you mentioned, however, sterility is a must. I do not believe I have ever injected without cleaning the spoon and my injection site thoroughly. I have also never understood why people re-use syringes. They are so inexpensive and available (NY) here, there is no reason not to.

I guess its just a habit I picked up in jail. Two cut down fits smuggled in in the beginning can be used and reused an unbelievable number of times, and though I only did a few months it wrecked my meticulous and clean injecting ritual. Which I have lately focusing on keeping the opposite of chatty.

I dunno, I seem more comfortable with IM than IV. and I've tried neither.

It's just that stigma of IV'ing that I've grown up with.. mostly acquired by documentaries/stories of meth heads who are doing it too damn much...

I did not pick up many habits in jail, apart from sleeping my worries away.

Actually, I shouldn't blame jail for my poor injecting cleanliness, that's a cop out. It begun when I stopped giving a fuck about myself entirely, got lazy and didn't do anything about it - in fact, I was so miserable I don't think I even noticed myself slipping into behaviours I used to call people out on.

jackie jones: Sleeping is the best in lock up, aside from getting stoned it is the best way to pass time. Well, that remains true incarcerated or no. :)
