IV'ing stigma

I wish I'd known about bluelight when I first did H. Everyone around me was using needles and it didn't even cross my mind that I could smoke or snort it (esp after that scene in pulp fiction). So ever since, the only way I use H is IV. I am very careful and safe in the way I use but a lot of people aren't. I know in prison people keep reusing/sharing needles until they will no longer pierce the skin.
I regret getting into IV using but I can't go back until my tolerance is much lower 'cos it's more financially efficient.

I won't IV meth ...it scares me and smoking it works just fine. I just wish that was how I started out on H.

Never tried plugging but it sounds interesting! What's the general bioavailability of plugging as opposed to other ROA?
 
I can't stand watching people snort or smoke their gear. Such a waste. I personally love iv'ing gear. I love the whole ritual of mixing up, getting all the air out of the pick, finding a spot etc etc, gives me butterflys just thinking about it. And then slowly inject that shit, feeling that loss of breath feeling when your only half way through injecting . Yeah I love iv'ing. Some people get addicted to the steel and I understand why. But one thing I can't stand is buying needles at the chemist, why the fuck is it always some hot chick behind the counter when you buy them?? That definately makes me feel like crap.
 
ive bought fitpacks for (drug)friends that IV before, its interesting to see the reactions at chemists. alot are neutral it seems, they know its going to happen regardless and afterall it is legal to buy. some wont touch your hand to give you your change... they look at you like diseased riddled scum. ive even been given a little smirk and been told to enjoy my night... ha, that one always made me laugh.

anyways as far as im concerned, you do you and let me do me. when im on the smack im usually with 5 cunts all IVing and they're usually telling me what a waste it is and how dumb i am for snorting it. i just tell them quite simply... so long as im nodding from smoking and snorting the shit, why would i want to use sharps? i think alot of them were introduced to heroin with the flawed advice that the needle is the only way and wish they could turn back time. i dont know, i see no difference between someone pulling out a pipe for a toke, chopping up lines of coke or having a shot. so long as theyre respectful and ask that its alright before just breaking it out i dont care... i know im in the minority there though, ALL my friends think its for scumbags but most will smoke meth like its going out of style. fucking dumb logic.

+ 2 Great post innerself, but nice way to trigger me too. You describe well. I never minded if there was a hot chick at the chemist as gear (h) fucks my sex drive and if the fits are for meth then I'm going to be so horny inwouldnt give a fuck and try and pull the babe behind he counter!
 
I believe it's not the actual IV'ing itself which brings the associated stigma its what occurs around the injecting. I have no problem if people use respectfully and clean up after themselves. I hate it when I find used fits in a park or on the beach. It makes my blood boil and I immediately think 'fucking junkie, clean your shit up' before I safely dispose. I'm sure we have all been to friends house's and seen used picks lying around. Let's admit it's not a good look.

Again I'm sure we have all seen people injecting in public as well. Again not a good look and this does not help with the negative stigma already attached to IV'ing. I'm sure we have seen all sorts of drugs being used in public which we frown upon ie sniffing/chroming.

I personally wouldn't allow anyone to IV in my home anymore. Now I have kids running around. I can recall many years ago walking into my own bathroom and finding a friend or a friend attempting to find a vein. No biggy but I would have appreciated some warning as my mum was due over any second.

The BA of plugging varies, it's often pretty high, meth is meant to be 99%. It's definitely a good rush, I wouldn't say it's 99% though, from experience. Opiates seem to vary a bit, it's hard to find a BA anywhere on the net, every place seems to say something different. Heroin seems to work best plugged, I've had some very intense experiences on smack that way. I've found pills like oxys or ms contins fairly useless to plug (with the coating taken off and crushed up and suspended in water), and I think the rectal BA of those is the same or less than taking them orally.
 
You shouldn't really be plugging anything unless it is finely crushed and suspended in water. Without the water the membranes there won't absorb very well at all.

The reason it probably doesn't feel like 99% is because technically you should be doing a warm water enema before putting any material up there.

I use the BL thread for BA, seems to be the most reliable source.
 
^ Agreed. I mentioned those pills specifically because they aren't water soluble, unlike meth and smack. So it's good to crush oxys, mscontins or what have you up finely then swirl the water round before sucking it into your oral syringe so you get as much of the particles suspended in the water as possible.

Back in the day I used to plug whole bics, it seemed to work pretty well though 8o
 
Yeah I know a few people who've been known to just shove a whole pill up there, but gotta remember that street pills are usually relatively loose and crumbly, they'd fall apart and dissolve fairly easily in that kind of environment.
 
been plugging oxy's for months now maybe close to a yr.

i'd say its so much better ba compared to oral or nasal.

i usually crush it up then add 3-4ml's of water into the mix, give it a quick stir, draw then plunge :D

So did I they worked mad until I plugged a white lacoste MDMA in 2005 and as I was on bupe at the time constipation and general shit taking was usually a difficult experience i proceeded to get the worst pain in my ass I have ever felt. Luckily I was at my best mates house with just his missus around cause I had to lie down and just whimper (almost crying) and getting worried that this pain is so bad i might nedd to go hospital. This coupled with my best mate high as cunt on lsd/e's/meth just couldn't stop laughing histerically at me while I held my ass in pain.

Luckily they were strng as fuck pills and after 45 min when the come up hit I got mad high and relaxed and pain totally subsided and I was gurning hard and we all had a laugh about.

Never found out why exactly although I know it was from being on Bupe maintanence and not shitting regulary.

Don't have any problems now with my guts as stopped daily opiates years ago, but never again will i stick a solid dry pill up my ass as the experience was just too fucked.

I wasn't going to mention it for embarrassment reasons, haha, but one time I plugged high purity meth and although I've done it many times before and since without incident, this time it really stung, and caused a bit of bleeding :| I think it might have something to do with general dryness of the area - I know that methamphetamine tends to dehydrate your insides like that, and opiates can too...
 
Yeah I have plugged street pills with vasoline, works pretty well considering. I usually dissolve in water these days though. If I am plugging oxy or MScontin I leave them in the water for 5-10 minutes before drawing it up, same as IVing them.

I don't think the stigma is reasonable or particularly rational, but I can understand it. Not many people like being stuck with a needle for any reason, so doing it to oneself (even if to to get high) probably seems a little masochistic. Also taking the additional risks of infection/abscess/etc 'just' to get a better high. I've never IV'd but it isn't something I would categorically say I'd never do. Needles aren't that bad if you're careful :)
