Opioids IV'ing Oxycontin V Oxynorm

Hey guys, i am an experienced IV user of Oxycontin, but have never used Oxynorm, i know that it is basically the same thing with Oxycontin being controlled release. What i want to know is this-Is IV'ing Oxynorm the same? I can easily have 2 or 3 80mg tabs of Oxycontin in the one shot, so should i use the same amount of Oxynorm. If anyone knows about the differences in IV'ing between the two can you please give me some advice? Should the dose be the same? Is one more intense than the other? Do they both last for the same amount of time? How much should i shoot the first time?
 
Oxycodone is oxycodone. If the formulations were both instant release then there would be no real difference. However if you are accustomed to shooting an extended release formula then you may not be getting all of the drug into your shot and should therefore start with less of an instant release preparation.
