Opioids IVing Hydromorphone versus snorting & plugging

I have been addicted to oxy for a while got on suboxone then got back on the oxy's. Since the oxyneos came out I've been looking for alternatives I found a decent link on dilaudid 8mg. I currently snort &/or plug 4 8mg pills a day and I get pretty good feeling all day. 0 discomfort and 10/10 high if I plug a full pill. Anyways, I constantly read about how doing anything but IV with dilaudid is a complete waste. I was wondering if I'm currently snorting &/or plugging a total of 4 pills a day how many pills could I get by when shooting? Also, does shooting always lead to the slippery slope of serious addiction and despair or is it possible to IV and maintain school and work etc. I've never IV'd before but since I have these pills and a good link I'm debating it cuz I feel wasteful just snorting/plugging them. Also, if plugging a full pill gets me a nice how much would I need to shoot to get high?
 
It is not a waste not IVing dilaudid. You're much better off plugging or snorting, that's really the best way to do dilaudid. Don't jump on the needle just because you think you're wasting a fucking milligram or two. Think about it, is that really worth it to you? The IV high is incredibly short lived and not nearly as enjoyable because the high is so short. You will make your tolerance skyrocket and hydromorphone will cease to become effective any other way.

Think long and hard about this decision.
 
Yes, you may be able to use less to get high, but that rush is so addictive, that you'll be out of your pills faster than through other ROA's, especially if you're new to the needle. It's almost always a slippery slope.
 
It's true. Girl mouse barely used opiates, then boy mouse injected her... now she honestly can't see the point in doing them any other way.. Which was a mentality she never understood before. "Why can't you just go back to sniffing it?" She asked boy mouse. And now she knows.
And the high IS short lived... and the desire to feel the rush again, overwhelming even to a person whose had great self control for years.
She meant to try it once... It was a weekend thing for one or two weeks. A month later girl mouse is being injected 3-4 times a day. Boy mouse is even worse off.
 
All ROA will lead you down a path, which will eventually take you to the right or to the left, or possibly even forward...
Unless you are one of the lucky (1) out of (10), the path you decide (right, left & even forward) will lead to a dead end. If you are one of the lucky (2) out of (10) the ruts, roots, holes, cliffs, mud, nettles, poison ivy, will scar you for what seems like, and may be forever.
