IV'ing drugs, and how this practice fits into the concept of bluelgiht

Re: Do NOT Stigmatize Certain Administration Methods

Do NOT stigmatize certain administration methods!

There are some people who drink alcohol or pop pills and refuse to smoke anything because it is not oral administration. They demonize smokers as ruiners of their lives.

There are people who smoke weed and refuse to snort anything. They feel that powder was not meant to go up your nose, and think snorters are bad people.

There are people who snort coke and refuse to IM ketamine. They are afraid of needles and classify it as "hardcore" drug use for addicts.

There are people who IM and refuse to IV because they think it makes you a junkie.

There are some people who refuse to administer rectally because they think it makes you gay.

It's all about opinion, and one method of administration is not superior to another in terms of permissability. As a harm reduction site, there is really no problem with promoting IV drug use as long as it's sterile IV drug use.

*smacks forhead*

who was stigmatizing iv'ing??? i said its not appropriate to promote it the way some people do. VERY few people on this board regularly get sterile medical grade drugs. most come on asking about street drugs, or worse, pills, which they are told to bang because any other way would be a waste. when in reality, any other ways (smoking snorting eating) would be better than injecting. dont twist my words please.
