comments, concerns, suggestions, please..I'm going to acquire some 1mg Ativan's and some clean ones and wondering if these could be used to IV very successfully or not. I know they're on the low-end in terms of strength. I've shot a 1/2 bar of xanax before and it was just very odd. if I can IV these or can and it wouldn't be a waste, how much water for the 1mg and what would be the process? I tried the search engine and I'm in a hurry and from skimming I didn't gather too much. thanks guys!!

Don't IV them. Lorazepam is nearly insoluble in water, so it wouldn't work. Also, the oral BA for benzos is so high that it wouldn't really be worth it to IV them even if you used the proper solvent.

This. Spot on. The solubility of the majority of benzos in water is incredibly low. The oral BA is so high as well, that IVing them is just not practical. Take them orally like you are supposed to. You also can take them sublingually, if you are looker for a faster onset. The only benzo really worth IVing is midazolam.

Yes, in a hospital setting they do have injectable benzos. But they are contained in the proper solvent and really are only used if the patient needs to be sedated immediately, for instance if they are having a seizure. That is really the only advantage, but at home there really is no use in going thru all the trouble of making a proper injectabel solution. If you are having a panic attack, just let it dissolve under your tongue; it will start working in under 10 minutes.

Even though lorazepam has high bioavailability, it is absorbed slowly. It would be best not to shoot it, but I could see why someone would want to. Brand name Ativan has lactose, micocrystaline cellulose, magnesium stearate and polacriline potassium. lorazepam injection has 2-4mg with .18ml of polyethylene glycol 400 in propylene glycol with 2% benzyl alcohol as a preservative. A micron filter might work, but I'm worried about the polacriline potassium, a disintergrant that has ion-exchange capacities. It might be soluble in the propylene glycol and shit. Or it could retain lorazepam.

Someone did try to shoot xanax with water, and claimed it worked. If it did it was probably small particles of xanax passing through the cotton filter.

Lorazepam injectable solution would be pretty useful to have. It's the first-line drug for upper ODs, seizures, and freak outs.
