IVing and needle hit something weird?

Shooting in crook of elbow, the needle went in. Kinda moved the needle around to find a vein and instantly felt a weird, fairly strong pain at the tip of the needle (maybe half inch below skin) and its been 24hrs and there's been a constant sore type of pain, like the pain from pulling or straining a muscle. It's the forearm muscle, right below crook of elbow. The pain is deep in there, can be felt more by rubbing the muscle in that spot. Flexing increases pain. Is it possible that a nerve was hit (would expect a more shooting electric pain in that case)? Or hit bone? Or moved the muscle in a bad way? It's not debilitating pain but I'm curious as to what could have caused it. Thanks in advance!

A nerve would be my guess. Shouldn't be a problem unless it starts showing sign of infection, which is highly unlikely if nothing was injected.

Yeah hit a nerve by the sounds of it, hurts like fuck, and the next time you shoot you'll be nervous as hell..

You'll be fine though, it happens from time to time, went in too deep.

It's very difficult to hit bone by accident in a big place like your arm :) So it wasn't that. I hope you at least hit your shot! If you did, you didn't miss did you?

Thanks guys, yeah it's been a couple days and the pain isn't too bad anymore. and yeah I still hit it just switched to another vein ;)

It's funny I don't have great veins (from what ppl tell me, I only IV'd for the first time a few weeks ago) and even tying off it's hard for me to see them, so I generally go by where the other stick marks are. and i'm not fat btw just don't have super visible veins
