I know the risks,im a trainee doctor, but i crave that simple 'everything will be okay life is good' feeling since i suffer from severe social/general anxiety.

I used versed ampoules
Injecting 5 to 20 ml at a single time.

I dont want to die from this or lose my leg,but my life is fucked up has always been and in those 5 seconds i find beauty.

One thing im curious about is that in med school they teach us to do a femoral tap,by inserting a syringe in the femoral artery and drawing blood,if blood loss from accidentally nicking the fem artery is so huge, why is femoral tap allowed or a procedure...?

Ive injected at the same site about 5 times now...and its sore...

Your the doctor in training you tell us lol.

I doubt with you level of knowledge in medicine i dont think you are going to find answer the answer to your question. Most of the people on here im willing to bet dont have PHDs or are MD behind their last name (yes i am well aware there are successful addicts that are lawyers, docs etc. but i doubt there are many on BL although I could be wrong)

How soon and which complications?

No one can tell you that without guessing and being incredibly lucky.

It could be today, tomorrow, next week, four years from now... or never. But it's more likely to be sooner instead of later/never.

Please read up here on injection complications so you know what to look out for, if you continue to do this.

I took an aspirin for today and am hopefully gonna stop

Im having a hard time registering now when i cud easily register initially, means some damage's been done to the vein...
Also there are bruises in my femoral area...

Have you tried exploring your torso in the mirror? Also if you're using pharm grade why not switch to IM , with a bit of willpower it should be doable even with Dilaudid condidering it's either that or deep vein thrombosis in a couple of years.

Do you not have any other viable veins left? Also, what size needle are you using to hit that vein? It really should be an absolute last resort... They use it in the medical field sometimes if they really need to but that's a third party performing the tap, not you yourself. It's a lot easier to make a mistake when you're the one injecting into your own vein.

I am not sure exactly what a trainee doctor? Does that mean you are pre med in college, a emt, a resident, a fellow? I'm NOT a doctor but I've worked at the Medical Univerisity and I've never heard or referred to any of the MD I had to assist as trainee doctors. But anyway if you know how to do a femoral tap you are aware of the risks and I am very surprised it took 5 times for it to become sore. I have no veins I have had to have femoral tap to have bloodwork before it was quite painful. IMO a fem tap is a last result option a go to place when you have patients like myself that don't have any veins that you get blood from in an emergency situation. But you should really ask your Attending that question for the correct answer. As I'm not qualified to give you anything other than an opinion. Now as far as Versed goes i'm sure you already know it is a amnesia medicine used in many type of surgerys and dental type procedures. If its only lasting 5 seconds it's not worth the risk of the harm you could potentially do. If Versed is what you must have it is actually available by mouth. My main thing is be extremely careful with your femerol vein!!

Best advice I can give you is to stop injecting there straight away. Is it worth the risk of losing your leg for those 5 seconds of beauty you said you feel.
How dumb would you feel to lose a leg for such a short time of pleasure. You can't regrow a leg.

Of all places, why that?

Hundreds of safer places.... If you know how to do that, it's the same thing in any other vein, just do a visible one in your forearm. With ampules you don't really have any worries if you miss while learning how to hit smaller veins, they won't give an abscess if sterile.

Do not fuck with the femoral! As a doc you should know why

You can suffer damage to the smaller veins in your body and still live, but major damage to the femoral vein could kill you. Deep vein thrombosis, embolisms, or even a collapsed femoral artery will mean at minimum your leg loses its blood supply. At worst, a blood clot in the femoral vein could go to your heart or lungs and kill you in minutes.

I don't understand why you are using this vein when there are plenty of other less risky ones to choose from.
