while i havent forgotten the misery and disception you've planted in my heart,
i have forgotten all those words you uttered,
deep in the night,
when you thought no one else was listening.
all i hear now is the echo of you shouting,
telling me i'm not worth your time
i have not forgotten the way you way you turned your back on me,
time after time
but i have forgotten the scent of your cologne...
poignant and sweet
as the wind carried it when you whipped around and stomped away.
i have not forgotten the way you looked right into my eyes
and lied...
the way you looked into my heart
and ignored what you saw.
but i have forgotten the way those same eyes
used to melt me,
like a snowflake falling on a fire.
tonight, i cant seem to forget that you exist, in my memory and in my pathetic life.
but i had forced myself to forget why i loved you in the first place...
i have forgotten why i write these pointless poems late at night,
why i cant sleep,
and why i hate you so much.
i do not remember why you hurt me...
did you ever give me a reason?
i forget...
i have not forgotten you...
i have forgotten that i ever cared for you,
and that i spent so many years of my life,
picking up the pieces of my heart
that you so easily shatter.
i have forgotten what its like to be near you...
but i have not forgotten you...
and sadly, probably never will.
