I must warn that this method is not good for your veins. However, I suppose it could be argued that it constitutes harm reduction because you definitely won't OD with it.

Anyway, I used to dose heroin by injecting a large amount all at once and getting really high. More recently however, I've been using it differently. I have been starting with a relatively small dose like a dime bag, injecting that and then 20-30 minutes later as soon as the buzz begins to wane, I inject another dime, then another again after 20-30 minutes.

Not only does my heroin last longer this way, I actually find it far more euphoric. I cant really explain why, but it seems like when I do a large dose all at once, it's euphoric initially but then after an hour or two, as it begins to wear off I start feeling tired and groggy but not necessarily euphoric. When I serially inject it however, the high seems to gradually build with each shot until I get to a super blissful level of opiatedness. I also get a small rush each time I do a shot, whereas if I do a big shot I got one big rush, then I am unable to get more any more rushes after that until it was worn off because my opioid receptors are full. Injecting one dime at a time, leaves enough receptors open, then I get to experience a nice, small rush with each shot.

Everytime I do a big dose at once now, i regret it as I realize how much more enjoyment I could've gotten off that heroin if I had split it into multiple doses.

My theory is that opiates are most euphoric as the amount of opiates in your system is rising. If you get really high at once, then you have nowhere to go but down. It's much more enjoyable to get a buzz going, and then keep increasing it over time, at least for me. The key is to maximizing your enjoyment of opiates, is keeping some of your opioid receptors empty. Empty receptors are necessary for getting high and especially, feeling a rush, but the amount of full receptors is not linearly related to the amount of euphoria you feel. That is, you can get a great euphoria with your receptors half empty and still retain the ability to get more high. When you totally fill up your receptors however, the euphoria will begin to decrease even before a significant amount of receptors have opened up, leaving you tired and sedated but unable to get a rush or bring your back with a small redose.

Just wanted to share this. Also ODs have never been a problem for me, but for those who are OD prone, this method should eliminate that risk.

The only issue with this method is the fact that you're having to inject so many times over the course of a session. At its core it's good advice, but with the ROA you're using...:(

I'm not one to judge how other people use their stuff, but is it possible that you could switch to another ROA and use this step dosing that way? I understand its hard to go back but I can't even imagine how much damage you're doing by taking multiple smaller shots instead of one or two during your sessions.

This is why many people who have tried snorting and IV'ing heroin find that snorting is a better way to build up a buzz and have the euphoria last longer. But groginess on heroin is inevitable. Wherever there is a pronounced rush and high with a drug, there is a comedown and crash. Thus, maintaining a buzz with small amounts seems more euphoric, and the best and safest way to do so with heroin is by snorting or plugging.

I snort h in the manner you describe & completely agree with everything you've said. I also notice that the itch and nausea, like the sedation and lethargy, mostly kick in on the comedown. Prolonging the come-up is absolutely the way to go.

Extended release Heroin...sounds interesting. We should make a pill so you won't be like in those Tom&Jerry cartoons with holes all over your body dripping water.

Taping it to a "central" vein on an arm , should be pretty safe as long as it doesn't risk moving around. also wouldn't leave it on longer than a couple hours tops and even that is risky in a dirty environment. Still better than puncturing every 30 min I guess. Maybe a drip bag would suit your taste even better!
