I've been an every day Kratom user for two years and I'm trying to quit

For the first year it was around 10 grams a day but now I'm talking 30, sometimes more. I have tried to quit before but I didn't stick to it. The longest I have gone without it has been a day. I work as a carpenter and kratom keeps me focused and alert along with pain relief. It got me through the rough cold 9 hour days I work doing physically demanding tasks. Kratom is the only drug I have been completely physically and psychologically addicted to. It is a big part of my life and I'm scared without it I will never be as happy. Is there anyone who has been in my shoes and kicked the leaf successfully? I'd appreciate any advice.

In terms of workload, most definitely so! Know also that Kratom is not as complicated as other ordinary opiates.
Have you considered lowering your working hours?
I used to be in office 60 hours per week. That was killing me. Stress makes everything else more complicated.
Can you take a leave, go holidays? Or just spend more time doing what you like? Try to see your issue from another perspective..
Good luck!:\

Yeah I was addicted to kratom (similar amounts daily) for 7 years, up to 40-50 grams a day in the last half, and then I switched to poppy tea for 3 more years. I did get clean, it was hard though, the physical part sucks but being able to prevent yourself from thinking you can use it responsibly once you get clean is the hard part. I eventually did ibogaine (in April) and that provided me the motivation to quit for good. It's a pretty extreme solution though. It's now 8 months later and I've been feeling great for the last 5 months, best I've ever felt. Exercise helped a lot, I got in shape and strong right after the ibogaine, and I eat healthy too. I fill my life with things I love and care about, I've started doing art, playing music again, seeing friends, making new friends, dating someone new... these things provide me the happiness in my life that make me forget about using opiates to fill in the gaps.

Good luck, you can do it. <3 Kratom is an opiate and and such it's an opiate addiction which is a terrible thing... but the good news is that the withdrawal is shorter than most any other opiate, and although it can be quite intense, it doesn't seem to produce PAWS as much as others for most people (post-acute withdrawal syndrome, arguably the worst part of opiate addiction).

Thanks for the feedback. It's good to know I'm not the only one who struggles with this. I use Psychedelics probably once every 4-6 months, usually 3 grams of psilocybin fungi or 3 hits of acid. I have heard that ibogain works wonders for opioid addiction. I just don't have the slightest clue as where to get it :/ My plan is to give my kratom to my girlfriend and have her give me two doses a day and slowly ween off. When I have it in my possession I have no control. I will just keep dosing and dosing. I have forgotten what it is like to be sober and I miss it. Again, thank you.

Here are some medications you can consider to get yourself clean. I would also consider switching over to loporimide temporarily and tapering off that. It produces no "high" so many people find it easier to taper off.

medications for acute opiate detox

The medications I would explore the use of for detox would be:
>Clonidine< DOSED EVER FOUR HOURS..

one of either
>NEURONTIN< >HERE< >HERE< >here<
OR >Lyrica<
OR >phenibut<

>A BENZO BUT JUST AT NIGHT<
>a nsaid<
>melatonin<
tylenol
Senokot S is a stool softener and laxative. If you do not want the laxative you can go for strait stool softenerDioctyl sodium sulfosuccinate.

(Opi Withdrawal) what is the best comfort meds for opiate w/d?

Your Personal Opiate Withdrawal Arsenal

Good luck.. and you can and will do this. Nothing like being free from being a damn slave. <3
