For the first year it was around 10 grams a day but now I'm talking 30, sometimes more. I have tried to quit before but I didn't stick to it. The longest I have gone without it has been a day. I work as a carpenter and kratom keeps me focused and alert along with pain relief. It got me through the rough cold 9 hour days I work doing physically demanding tasks. Kratom is the only drug I have been completely physically and psychologically addicted to. It is a big part of my life and I'm scared without it I will never be as happy. Is there anyone who has been in my shoes and kicked the leaf successfully? I'd appreciate any advice.

Kratom is an opiate and and such it's an opiate addiction which is a terrible thing... but the good news is that the withdrawal is shorter than most any other opiate, and although it can be quite intense, it doesn't seem to produce PAWS as much as others for most people (post-acute withdrawal syndrome, arguably the worst part of opiate addiction).
