Heroin iv'd tar that was previously chased on foil. skin reaction

Ived a half s point. The whole point was on foil and smoked a few hits then half that was left was taken off and peeped like regular for injection
The thing is I think there. Was a small amount of ash/charcoaled tar in the spoon.
After injecting it kinda itched a little bit and then started to have a reaction similar to a histamine reaction where it looks like poison oak kinda bubbled.
It's been about 15 minutes it hasn't went away yet.

Has this ever happened to anyone?

Is there something I should do like hot pressure from a rag ?

Iv shot before a previous smoked peice. But never had any reaction like this.
And sorry I used the search but couldn't find anything and couldn't in iv complications.

And help greatly appreciated :/

You're injecting byproducts from the burning/vaporization. Not work the health risk. Also, from an efficiency point of view, you'd be getting more product if you just iv'ed all of it from the start.

Do your body and your wallet a favor and stop shooting that stuff.


If things get worse go see a physician.

Sounds like a standard reaction to bad tar/shooting/opiate use in general, and nothing to do with too much carbon. I dunno, but it sounds like you're assumming your tar is always pure or some bullshit.

If it looks like there is carbon or burnt bits in your solution, do yourself a favor and leave it alone. (but you already know that) It always ends this way! haha

This happened to me in a wee desperate hour of despair-flavored desperation. Put a hot compress on it every chance you get, massage the area with Neosporin/Eucerin/etc., and drink plenty of water. Make a deal with God where you promise from now on to only put heroin up your ass.

It worked for me.

Definatly never assumed all of my tar was pure. Lol I not sure where u even got that idea from what I posted but o well lol!! Hahaha

But yea I put a hot compress on it for a while that night, it stayed that way for atleast an hour or so. I ended up going to sleep and when I woke up it seemed it was gone.

I used a Brand new needle. And the first half was only smoked because I was sick at the time I got it.

I've. Done tgis before a few times with no problems whatsoever so I didn't think to much of it at the time. Before i did it. Def won't be trying that anymore :/

Kinda scared me i practice safe injection procedures whenever I shoot but didn't expect the xharcoal bit to have a reaction like that or I obviously wouldn't have bothered with the stuff...

But lesson learned I suppose. The hard way :/

Glad you're doing better. It definitely IS scary. Had mine for an entire week! It hurts, too!
