IV'd H into vein on the inside of my leg by my knee. Radiating pain down leg?

Hey I have a question. The other day I hit this vein inside of my leg like by my knee just lightly below it.

I registered and shot then I had a slight pain (not really even bothersome..just noticeable) radiate down my leg not toward my heart. The vein was real close to surface too...?

It was only a 1 bag tester luckily..but am I to assume that was an artery or something carrying blood the other direction? something to avoid? Or was the pain a fluke?

1 bag wouldn't get me high no matter what vein it goes in..but I am just curious about the pain and what it meant.

Naturally i've been avoiding that area.

Yeah I mean it was seriously like 10 units of water so it was a small amount, but yeah you are probably right.

I honestly wish the needle exchange would just hit you up or there was some nurse service you could pay like 2 bucks for.

Oh my god that just made my day lol.

One of my friends uses that vein (if it's the one right behind your knee) quite a bit and I've never heard him gripe about anything like that..
 
It would be helpful to know which direction you shot in.
How long did the pain last?
Did you experience any swelling?
Is the pain nerve pain or not (is it electrical and tingly)?
It sounds like the blood would be flowing away from the heart, which could be problematic if you shot the wrong way (tho not likely) or if it contained irritating cut (more likely).

I highly DOUBT you hit an artery. That tends to be a lot more critical. Plus the blood will be noticeably lighter (I think, never done it personally). They're a lot deeper as well.
 
the veins in the legs are way smaller and more superficial. even getting a register it is really easy to miss/leak out and thats why it hurts. make sure you push the plunger VEEERY slowly. otherwise you usually blow out the vein.

I gotto check that vein out l8er..the one I was taklin about was actually on the inside of my leg right below my knee. THey looked pretty small but were visible.

@@pyr3x..what direction? Toward my heart...so upwards, just lke you would do any other vein
