IV users: Do you do washbacks after a shot?

Tons a peeps do it here in america. I pull some blood in about half way through the shot then finish. I never pull blood in after the goods are shot tho.

hope there's no hep c in that blood. I know it wouldn't be contracted from a painting and shit but just the thought of it makes me weary.

I wonder if Da Vinci or Matisse did this?
 
No I've never done a "washback", but I do save my cotton and the empty bags to do a second shot. We were getting this dope stamped "Jersey Drive" for a while which was really clumpy in the bag, and would stick like crazy. I would always ask my friend for his empties (he was always buying all the dope, i was the driver), and when I'd get like 10 empties of Jersey Drive, once I scraped the "empty" bags I'd get a 2.5-3 bag shot out of it, plus whatever I left in the cotton from my previous shot.

Of course, I was never able to save the empties or cotton til the next morning, even though I knew I'd be in WD. That's a junky for ya.

this sounds more effective... ive stoped in the middle and reregistered if i thought i pulled out of a vain

There is seriously no point to it.

Stopping half way through the shot and re-registering is just that, re-registering. Its a good idea to do, to ensure youre still in the vein, and is completely different to what the OP is describing. However, after youve done the whole shot, I can not think of one reason why you should register again.
 
I get off on it. Something about seeing the blood in the syringe.
 
Rumour says that these "washbacks" are given to the most desperate people, who then inject this blood into their veins, hoping there would be some drugs left in the syringe.

The blood begins to clot immediately in the needle, and when you push the blood back into your vein, the clot is going with it.

Yes. Not to mention that the longer a needle stays in you, especially if you're pulling back and depressing the plunger, the higher the chance is of something fucking up.

I was always into the habit of being in and out as soon, and as safe, as possible.
 
I leave a little air pocket at the top of the rig. The air pushes the little bit of solution left over in. I stop when I hear the air in the needle.
 
Ive done it the last few times and I know its unhealthy so ive stopped, but I swear it did make a difference, maybe it was just placebo, but It made the high better so meh. but no more, I know its bad and its only helping to form my addiction to the needle(not the drugs) and fucking up my veins more which in the 3 weeks ive been doing it daily ive royally ruined most of the easy to hit veins in both arm, which is alot for me as ive got a little muscle and my veins were previously a junkies dream. Ive also noticed the addiction to the needle has become much more addictive than the drugs. Usually I have a shot and im high as heaven but I want another staright away which I know is a bad idea, but its all because I wanna do the whole prep and shot again, all about the ritual I guess. All in all its unhealthy and dont do it.
 
I have confession to make:
Ï'm a needle junky in the terms true meaning.

Just shot 30mg of methylphenidate (don't worry, i got mic. filters). Even when I i register I always "pre-flag" so the blood will flow with pressure to the syringe when i hit a vein. Then I'll push down the plunger. I never hurry at this phase. A smooth glide is the best so you'll notice the plunger stopping if the needle goes outta vein. When finished the shot i did a washback witouhout even thinking of it. I dunno, it's just part of my IV ritual i guess...
