Bupe Iv subutex + iv loratadine safe ? (somewhat)

Just a thought due to some antihistamine potentianion. I trust tricomb and will refrain.

First of all, the whole IV anti-histamine+Bupe is totally overrated. If you want to shoot bupe, fine, but please don't shoot antihistamines. It DOES NOT get you higher, or make the experience feel way more intense.

Secondly, Loratadine would probably be one of the worst antihistamines to use for this purpose due to the fact that it crosses the blood brain barrier to a much lesser extent than say, diphenhydramine or hyodroxyzine. This is a big part of why Claritan is less sedating than the others I mentioned.

Finally, Injecting even pharm grade ampoules of many antihistamines can cause tissue damage, which is why the ampoules are usually designed for IM (Intra-muscular) injection rather than intravenous injection. I'm fairly certain that Promethazine ampoules have a black box warning for this very reason.

It doesn't cross the BBB when taken orall, hence the question. Didn't know about the scar tissue aspect though. Always learn something on Bl

^I'd recommend taking your anti-histamines orally about 30 minutes before dosing your opioids, that's pretty much the best way to do it.

Also, hydroxyzine > other anti-histamines (IMO) it's the best one I've found to date, with diphenhydramine in a close second. I know people who IV hydroxyzine hcl with their shots because it's water soluble, but honestly I think that's silly and self-destructive.

edit: Yeah, ZNegative answered this already, this is what I get for always forgetting to scroll down all the way! Yeah, they make injectable hydroxyzine too, but it is strictly for intramuscular use.
