As a somewhat outside observer of this, I would like to also share an opinion, as I have seen the effects of all these substances in my life.
I'm going to have to agree primarily with samadhi_smiles on this one. At one point in my life, I was into psychedelic drugs, and that was it except for an occasional experience with an escape drug.
It wasn't until I started getting into Cocaine more heavily as well as smoking it and getting addicted to Heroin that my life spun out of control, and you could easily see the effect it had on the appearance of my body as well as the functioning of my mind.
I am still struggling with the aftermath of a nightmare addiction that I consider myself blessed to be still alive from, and I am not as I once was. It has took a major toll on my mind and body. I hope that abstinence will one day reward me, but I still look forward to experiences with entheogens because they are the only drugs that have never steered me wrong.
This seems consistent with me as well as many of my friends.
