So here's the deal... I'm an extremely experienced benzo user... I'm prescribed 6 mg of Klonopin/day and take that dose divided 3 times (ie 2mg in the morning, 2mg in the afternoon, and 2mg before bed)... So I have a pretty decent Benzo tolerance... I'm also a patient on a Methadone Maintenance Program and take 150 mgs of Methadone a day (every morning). I recently came into the posession of a small quantity of 7.5 mg Dormicum (Midazolam pills)... I've never had any experience with this benzo and would like some advice

From the research I've done it seems as though ORALLY 7.5mg of Midazolam=0.5 mg Klonopin BUT MIDAZOLAM has an Oral Bioavailability of only 30%... I'm an experience IV user and really would like to try this drug IV... The only concern I have is any potential interaction with the Methadone... If I were to skip my afternoon dose of Klonopin and instead IV 7.5 mgs of Midazolam do you all think I would be safe (I know how to properly IV pills so please no lectures... I know the danger)... Would that be a good dose for a nice afternoon nap... Or should I start smaller, or any other advice? Thanks in advance!

shooting midazolam is like...

"Woah, the RUSH.... *blink* WTF is that needle sticking in my arm for? What??"

sums it up in a nutshell. Be extremely careful. You have an advantage, since you probably have somewhat of a tolerance towards the retrograde amnesia effects.

150mg is a pretty high dosage of methadone.

Benzodiazepines and methadone are one of the deadliest recreational drug combinations. The best advice I can give you is to start small. Luckily, midazolam is not very water soluble at 7 ph; so it's not going to be easy to inject a large amount of it without doing the proper research.

But careful with the dosage. 1mg of midazolam IV feels like 7.5 of midazolam orally. So a whole 7.5 pill injected can be like 7 pills of midazolam, and thats dangerous respiratory depression mixed with the methadone.
