Benzos IV midazolam/Versed. Anyone with experience?

It's true, this thread has got me so jacked to try it, I scheduled my own colonoscopy to find out.

Check me in the trip report later.

I had a colonoscopy to have propafol and fentanyl.

Waking up in the druggiest most fucked up state and feeling that afterglow for that day was quite worth the bowel prep (almost) its a pity my toilet was blocked though.

When I was an inpatient I nicked a bunch of midazolam amps and whacked them in my central line - lost several hours acting like a loon according to the nurses present. This was after previously being given midazolam for a transoesopageal echocardiogram, dr stepped out the room didn't lock the meds away! Wouldn't do it again...

Those things'll slice your fingers off, these days, what with the automatic snapping shut.

Was your sonagram-thing for pancreatitis, by any chance? Always thought it's not a good scanning device if half the time it induces what it was looking for.

I had this for my endoscopy along with fentanyl 3 times. It was in a spray that they sprayed in my mouth. I dont think it took 10 minutes. More like a 10 seconds. First two times it knocked me out hard within a couple minutes. The third time it didn't work so good and I was kind of awake for the surgery. At that time I was taking xanax for sleep so just kind of assumed it was a cross tolerance. I felt good when I woke up.... but its not that recreational. I thought it was propofol the first 2 times actually, but I asked the doctor and he said no its midazolam. Even though I can't find anything online about a sublingual spray.

Just a little update. I did a 2.5mg IV shot with no ill effects, felt AMAZING and awhile after (about 2 hours) passed peacefully asleep. Obviously bigger doses around 7-10mg doses could be kinda dangerous. Depending on tolerance, it could put you to sleep very quickly if IV'd, as well as possibly cause respiratory depression. If someone does this (larger doses IV'd, have a sitter just in case), be careful.

Nice to hear that you enjoyed it. I always found that iv benzos just produce a blank oblivion without any euphoria. But everyone reacts differently to drugs...

^ Lol, have you scheduled your procedure yet? A.m. looking forward to that trip report

I know this thread is old AF but I have a decent amount of recreational experience with intravenous Midazolam and most definitely comes on instantly and there s definitely a rush from the 7.5 mg ampoules which I always did all in one shot, just had one just a couple minutes ago and the rush is lovely and euphoric but very different to opioids, I have no access to even Midazolam tablets anymore so the ampoules are a huge treat, probably one or my favourite drugs since my tolerance from opioids is so high that it becomes financially very hard to swing that even if I can find a large enough amount

Sadly i have injected IV midazolam... if i remember correctly it was about 2.5mg... i think.. DONT DO IT. yes its a damn good feeling but i accidently took too much and forgot what happened but ended up with police and ambulance at my house..
Luckily i didnt mix it with heroin because i would have dropped.

Yes its definately a great feeling.. although are you sure it was a 7.5mg ampule?
Here they dont come in 7.5mg.. i think i IV 5mg max

@tacodude. "Oh that would be a pain to do a slow infusion.... I wouldn't even bother if that was necessary. Would doing a fast injection ruin it?

After my c-lam solution of 75 mg I injected a lot of made me black or for 4 days I don't really fuck with benzos besides that one time."

75 mg IV? IDK where your head was at using that dose via that route, but that's fucking legendary lol.

Most out of control I got dosing was like 36 mg of etizolam at once with a few beers and almost a gram of K. I woke up in the hospital covered in blood getting stitches haha. It was a gross miscalculation on my part.

Oh dear, I’ve had a lot of experience with Midazolam including the handful of IV uses + several times in hospital and it’s always been lovely IME. When I was younger I used to be much more reckless and got into similar blackout situations abusing triazolam and other hypnotic benzos, but now I know my limits and that redosing rarely improves the benzo experience. It’s going to be as good as it ever will be after the first dose… anymore and you become a complete moron

Everytime I get Versed before a surgery I wish they would wheel me back to a room & allow me to watch TV for awhile.

this is the case with benzos and opioids for me.

Everytime I get Versed before a surgery, I wish they would wheel me back to a room and let me enjoy or awhile. Always with the rushing...

at work we give doses of 2.5-5mg, repeat one time at same dose after 5 mins. If we are unsure about dosing we can always do 0.1mg/kg for patients that weigh under 100lbs or over 200lbs. It is used as sedation but is not an induction agent, basically it's used so you wont remember the procedure but doesn't literally knock you out, we use other drugs for that. If mixed with an opiate it has synergistic effects, making both more potent. It hits really quickly, which is why its used for field intubations, and has about a 2hr half life.

I find that its really pleasant at 3mgs, I'm about 55kgs or 120lbs. hope this helps :)

Hello all, I have approx. 7.5mg of Versed, in IV form. Anyone have experience with IV versed? How was the high? I cant find much on it. Im not planning on using it all at once. Maybe like 3-3.5mg at a time, i dont want to be too tired. I usually just play some games when im "using" (whatever it may be). Im just looking for a euphoric good time and just relax.
I have had a few surgeries in the last decade. This is one of my favorite events of surgery. Versed. For me, it does not work as an amnesia block, but I get so high that I want to hug everyone! Seriously, it’s great.
