IV MDMA - First Time - Need advice

I recently picked up .6 of mdma powder and was planning to IV with a friend at my place within the next few days. Now i'm no stranger to iv'ing and i know the risks, and i have assessed them, and am still proceeding, but i was just wondering what an ideal dose would be to start with.

I used to do x a lot and rave back in the day but I got x'd out after so much partying and took a break from it for awhile. Durin that time i smoked weed and stayed clean from amphetamines for awhile until about recently when I tried IVing speed for the first time. It was about a week ago, and I don't know if there is a cross-tolerance or not. But I generally have a higher natural tolerance for things than my friends, meaning, I generally need more to start with, and more to keep me going than average too... but I need advice on this too.

Should I perhaps try to acquire more than what i have for me and one adult male? And is there any other advice from anyone whose done this before??


ps. hi i am new to these forums as a member, but ive been a lurker of bluelight for years and just recently decided to join. sorry if i am posting in the wrong spot but i figured this might be the place to discuss this.
 
I know Shambles has a lot of experience with IV MDMA, I've sent him a PM with a link to this thread so hopefully he'll be able to give you some advice when he next logs on.

Thanks. I thought i had already joined but I couldn't find my account lol. So i just made one. I'll be sure to check back often. I think Thursday is the day we're gonna do it. We ran out of rigs and the ones we ordered will get here then so...
 
I know it will be amazing. And I really don't want my first shot to be too weak. I don't want it to be overwhelming but I want to feel a pretty intense rush. I usually get disappointed with my first shots, so I'm tryin to learn to step it up.
 
sorry to double post but i acquired some rigs and i really wanted to do this tonight and if i dont get a reply i might just blindly guess on the dosage... I would like kind of a good idea of what would be good to do in .xx grams... I'd only be eyeing it off the size of my bag tho i dont have that good of a scale.. i would probably do about 1/4 of it if i dont get any input

either way ill let you guys know how it went

you'd be stupid to slam something without knowing the dose and I'd know if you fucked yourself up because i live very close to you judging by your location and the Denver Post won't miss a chance to report on people dying from shooting up MDMA. I'll do some research into the dose, but PLEASE don't shoot up blindly.

that would be extremely stupid.

a good dose would be 50-100mg (.05-.01g)
 
well 1/4 of .6 is .15g which is not THAT bad but i mean.. I guess I'll knock a little bit off. I HIGHLY doubt my dose would kill me though, even if i pulled through with .15g.... And i did do a little research on it but i wanted more personalized input on a good dose.

And about the denver post thing. Come on. It won't happen I guarantee it. People just seem too paranoid about this kinda thing... I assure you the results of this will have you guys surprised. I sure hope i dont regret taking some off of 1/4 of it though. But I guess if i want 50-100 i should get a pretty good rush either way. I'm looking to make sure i don't get too small of a dose, not too large of one. it'd be hard to reach that point without ODing for me haah.


EDIT: I've pretty much decided my dosage. If anyone has any other advice though, before I go through with it, let me know. (: I'll check this thread a couple times before I do it and one last time before I do. If anyone could tell me if there's a cross-tolerance with methamphetamines and mdma at all, it'd be appreciated. And also, if after 5-7 days if that tolerance has dissipated or not.

there isn't really a cross-tolerance. There's no paranoia on my part -- if I ever get MDMA that I know is pure again, I'll undoubtedly shoot it up. There's no way you can regret taking some off. Back when I was still shooting heroin, a friend of mine gave me some very wise advice -- you can always do more, but you can never do less.
 
Hi, Limesmoke. Apologies for late reply - not exactly at my best today. I blame the (lack of) drugs 8)

As mentioned above, I do have a fair bit of experience of IV MDMA so I'll try to give you a coupla pointers as to how best not to do yourself a nasty. You say you have previous IV experience of other drugs so presume you are well aware of the risks of using any drugs intravenously and also know the basics of technique, sterility and so on already and skip the IV Drug Use 101 bit. Mostly...

Would be good to get a few more details of your prior IV drug use experience - what drugs, frequency of use (occasional treat or daily habit or somewhere in between) and so on. More detail the better cos it's a bit of a risky business and I could do with knowing a bit more about your previous experience, tolerance and anything else that could make a big difference - any medication you are on, for example. There are a coupla things that would be good to know if possible:

1) You say you are used to IV drugs but you only mention that you started injecting speed about a week ago. Do you have prior history of IV use of speed or any other drugs? Or has it just been this last week or so you've been shooting speed with no previous IV use?

2) From your post it sounds like you haven't used MDMA at all for some time. Weeks? Months? Years?

3) I presume you have tested the powder you have to confirm it is actually MDMA, but would you have any idea of what level of purity it is or what cuts are likely to be in there too? Bit of a longshot that one but you never know.

Dose seems to be your main concern and - to be honest - it's gonna be mine too. I have only ever shot crystal MDMA that - although not pure (tested at around 85% pure) wasn't cut either. The fact you say you have powder does concern me a tad cos there's no way of knowing the purity or cuts. Unless you've had it tested which I'm guessing is not the case. I'm guessing that it would be of reasonable purity but cuts could be a concern so micron filtering would be a very good idea if possible cos I doubt it would have been cut with IV use in mind. Cotton will do at a push but a micron filter would be much better if you can.

600mg between two should be plenty for the night - especially if you've been shooting speed but haven't used MDMA in a while. I would suggest around 50mg or so - certainly no more than 75mg absolute max if you have little tolerance. It is of fairly good quality 50mg should be a fair whack and 75mg would likely be pretty damn strong. 100mg (as in my report) takes no prisoners. Not even folks familiar with IV drugs are always keen on IV MDMA so it really is better to err on the side of caution even if it means not being as blown away with the first shot as you would like. It doesn't last too long IV so I suspect there will be a second (and probably a third) before the night is out. I often shoot a slightly lowish dose first myself before going for a big one cos it can be a bit of a shock to the system 8o

I mainly IV opiates like dilaudid, (a good dose is 8-12mg iv) heroin (.1-.2 good shot)and oxy (45+mg) but i've IV'd 2g meth in one night (which was my first time, and the only upper I've done in the last month or so besides IVing a few ritalin a couple times) and i rolled once pretty good like a month ago off a couple ills but its been at least a month. We're getting ready right now. We divided the powder into 6 dif parts and im havin my homie try ~75mg first to see how it hits him and based on how strong it was on him, i'll prolly do ~100-150. and it'll undoubtedly be gone by tonight. IDK the purity really but im guessint 75-85 percent for mine too but here goes BL.

Worry not, I have a good feeling about this.

an experienced iv'er tells you to take no more then 100 mg and you decide it's wise for you to take up to 150 mg..

there's stubborn, and there's plain stupid. tolerance or not, starting off that big is a bad idea.
 
If it really is as pure as that (guessing isn't quite as accurate as GC/MS testing, mind ;)) then 150mg would be way too much - it stops being fun if you go much over 100mg even with a massive MDMA tolerance. That's more than I usually shoot even back when I was using 3.5g of MDMA crystal a week. I would seriously urge you to consider sticking to no more than 100mg - even that will have your eyeballs rolling in the back of your head and incapable of speech for a while. It's got one hell of a kick to it I can assure you. At the very least, inject very slowly and stop if it's coming on too strong cos it really is no fun ODing on MDMA and 150mg is probably approaching OD territory for anyone.

PS: Bear in mind that you have zero tolerance to it if you've only had a coupla pills a month ago. Meth and opies are not cross-tolerant with MDMA. You really would be doing yourself a big favour in not being quite so gung ho. You can always do more...

Well i just had a feeling that it was closer to 75% pure and i mean, after my friend's reaction to 75, I decided 150 was fine, and i wished i had done 200 cuz my eyes weren't rolling in the back of my head. I will seriously have to experiment with this again some other time. I'm definitely rolling, and feel pretty good. With what was left we divided into ~225 and ~150 mg piles. I took a second shot (the larger quantity) and finished the rest of what we had and I'm feelin pretty good but it just leads me to believe it as high of a quality as wht Shambles had. . I wanted to be knocked on my ass a little bit though. I'm not complaining about my high, I'm glad I did it, I just hate that i expected more ):

Next time I try IV MDMA, idk if I will use the same molly. If i can get it from another hookup I will, but thanks for the guidelines guys. they helped a decent amount. My homeboy and I are off to enjoy our high now and we plan to IV some dilaudid after the comedown. I havent had opiates in a week or so and I'm excited to be doin it again.
 
That's precisely why I only IV crystal MDMA - powder is almost inevitably gonna be cut with fuck knows what so no way of really gauging your dose. Which is why it's always best to start low and work up cos once you've shot it it's too late if it did turn out to be decent purity. If you shot 375mg in such a short space of time it must have been pretty heavily cut - by the sound of it maybe 30-40%. Plus "other stuff"... I honestly wouldn't bother unless you can be pretty damn sure of what quality and purity you are getting cos powder could be anything really. Unfortunately :\

Glad you're both okay and at least feeling pretty groovy if not totally blown away - MDMA really isn't too good to shoot unless you have a very good idea of what it actually is, but if you ever come across the real good stuff it's more than a bit special. Happy hunting and enjoy :)
 
Yeah.. I ended up havin a pretty good roll and it built progressively throughout the night. We finished up our dilaudid (only 5 sadly) and both of us have been feeling pretty fuckin awesome all night. I've been nodding off a little bit recently here but thats cuz i'm comin down, but it's a pretty nice nod.

If i ever get a chance to find some nice purer crystal, I would definitely try this again. But I will wait a good minute. I do have 3-4 different hookups so, I'll see what every one can get, and if/when I do try IVing it again, I will probably post here as to how it went. there's a 9/10 chance that I'll have a better scale by then too, so I'm not eyeing it out.
