has anyone shot up in the forehead or neck? Before I knew the dangers I did and it felt fucking great. I would never do this again. Just wondering who else has input on this.

This is probably among the most dangerous and stupid things I have ever read of someone claiming to do on Bluelight. The veins in your head and neck are by far the most dangerous places to inject anything for a number of reasons:
  • The veins in your head and neck are extremely close to crucial arteries, nerves, and other tissue – much more so than at any other location in your body.
  • The veins in your head and neck may be difficult to find and/or easy to roll.
  • Unless you had someone else perform the injection, you pretty much need to be looking in a mirror to be able to see what you’re doing. This only increases the chance that you’ll make a mistake.

Regardless, I am also curious to know who else has done this, and under what circumstances you decided to try these locations as injection sites. Was it experimentation? Desperation? A dare? Enlighten me.
 
yeah, i know. it is stupid. and i would never do it again. I was sitting at a the table with my friend P. and he said 'dont move your vein in your forehead is sticking out'. so he prepared to shot and performed it for me. i didn't no how dangerous it was but, it was by far the best feeling i have ever had. it was an 80 mg ocycontin and some ice. dont remember how much.
 
I just always said "wow, next i wanna bang in my neck or forehead" and then my friend did it for me and the rush was incredible dulling out all sound and a rush of warmth like no other. i then stumbled into a hot shower and prolonged the feeling. however, when he shot me up in the neck after that it was good but, not nearly as euphoric. i can't believe how stupid i was to do this cause i usually research everything before i do it. but, i stumbled upon needles so quickly...
 
I think any additional euphoria/fun derived from the location of the injection is entirely mental. If it's in your blood it's in your blood, it doesn't matter where you put it in at.

And I remember reading awhile back that the neck is about the most dangerous place you can inject. They didn't even mention veins in the forehead you crazy mofo!
 
Actually, if you inject into an ARTERY in the neck, the drug will get to your brain before it gets anywhere else and this would provide a stronger rush I would imagine. Of course, injecting into an artery, especially one in the neck, is very dangerous!! Definitely not worth it.

If you inject into a VEIN, though, like ikarus said, it won't matter.
 
Negro, you are absolutely wrong about getting high from injecting into an artery.

I have injected into an artery before myself and I can verify that information written about injecting into arteries is true.

Arteries are a means of the heart transfering blood directly to tissues in the body before the blood goes to the heart. It actually takes longer for the heroin to get to the brain and it becomes diluted in the tissues, so much in fact that you don't get high.

Heroin is an acid and burns the tissues. The tissues have more pain receptors than other parts of your body.

It's EXTREMELY painful. The process of injecting hurts and you'd be lucky if you could finish giving yourself a shot without having to pull out. Although I did manage to give myself an entire 50 unit shot.

The area around the injection will SWELL, turn red, burn and itch. In my case, my arm from my elbow to finger tips swelled up, turned red and inflamed, itched and burned. I did not get the slightest bit high and ended up having to call the hospital fearing I'd have to get my arm amputated. Fortunantly, I was able to reduce the swelling by wrapping a hot towel firmly around my arm.

Was someone to hit an artery in their neck, the neck could swell to the point that the user would suffocate.

So whatever you do, DON'T inject into an artery or even risk doing such. You won't get high. It's exceptionally painful. You may die.

Love in Vein is right. I've accidentally hit an artery, and I only injected half a unit before I noticed the horrible tingling pain. Still my hand swelled up to the point I was almost ready to go to the hospital.

Injecting into a neck artery will almost certainly lead to immediate death.

I never said it wasn't dangerous! And I agree that it could quite possibly lead to death to inject into an artery...I was by no means suggesting it was a good idea. It's a fucking terrible idea. But that doesn't mean that it woudn't get you high, because I'm pretty sure it would.

Of course....but if you inject into an artery that is going STRAIGHT to the brain...and thus the drug is NOT being diluted in other tissues, then you WOULD get high....this only works in the case of injecting into an artery in the neck.

I believe that I am right, as I have asked this very question of a few dr's and they indeed said that you would get high, but that's it's an obviously awful idea.
 
Ya' know, there are good veins in an erect penis, but that doesn't mean it's a good idea to shoot there. Why can't folks just use the veins God intended for bangers to use? The head!? Jesus!
