IV hydromorphone - 3 doses about 2 hours apart, unknown mg (hospital administration)
oral hydrocodone - 5mg
cannabis - 2-3 bowls

So, I had the worst stomach cramps yesterday, and ended up going to the ER. When I told them my pain was a "10" they wasted no time, and shot me up with some yummy dilaudid (hydromorphone). No rush up my arm/body, however within minutes the pain was gone and I felt like I was levitating above the hospital bed. When they came back a little while later, and they asked how my pain was, I obviously told them it was "coming back", so up the arm goes more hydromorphone 8o This time, I felt a rush....

I have never felt this good in my life. I asked my girlfriend to look at my pupils and she said they were almost gone. Again, the nurse came back, asked about the pain, and gave me another dose for the road about 20 minutes before I left =D. By the time I left the hospital, I was gliding across the parking lot on an invisible belt and the blistering cold weather outside didn't phase me one bit!

I was prescribed hydrocodone, so I filled it immediately (obviously) and popped one in the parking lot of the drug store. Went home and gave the woman one too. We both has extremely empty stomachs. Normally, one Vicodin won't do a damn thing to me, but with all that hydromorphone already in my body, and an empty stomach, plus a little bit of really good chron, this little pill hit me like a ton of bricks.

God bless opiates.

Thanks for reading, sorry if it's boring I just felt the need to share. Next to my most recent roll on molly, this was the best drug experience I've ever had.

you went to the emergency room for a stomache ache and got IV dilaudid, am I reading this correctly? if so I'm moving to seattle.

More or less yes! I visited the hospital earlier in the week for acid-reflux-like symptoms, constant vomiting, etc.. This week, it returned, only out the other end and with excruciating cramping in my lower abdomen. Trust me, every drop of the painkillers was well deserved, but in short yes, I got IV hydromorphone for stomach cramps.:)

Basically, when I've been peeing out my ass for 3 days straight, and now I'm in the hospital bed, squirming around holding my stomach, sweating and howling in agony, they didn't really see any reason not to give me something to sooth the pain.

Also, don't think I didn't get away without having to get a cat scan and a sample of all three (blood, urine and stool). They are worried something's up with my stomach.

However, before any questions were asked I simply insisted the pain is a 10 and I acted like it was (because it was), so they shot me up right away and then asked me questions. I thought it was rather easy too. Heh, who's complaining? :)

Now here's for the question that is going to get me laughed at, but oh well:

Depending on how much they actually gave me, how does this experience compare to IV heroin? Anyone with experience/knowledge? This is simply a curiosity.

for me a 4mg dilaudid is the same as like 1 bag(10$) of some pretty good dope, the dope last longer though, but the dilaudid has a rush comparable or better, depending how good the h is.

Is there a way to find out how much they gave me? I should have asked...

I'll look through my discharge papers, maybe they say something about it...

Mmm, I was IV'd dilaudid for my tonsillectomy (a stomachache ? DAMN! ) . Loved it. I was prescribed oxycodone after that so I can relate to your joy. I got refills to the max! Sadly, I got my last yesterday -a downgrade to vicodin but still.

Look forward to reading about your Molly experience ;) . Never used it !

Ok I'm sorry but this is bullshit. I made a post in BDD called "Me emergency room trip" and I had the same thing you were having. I was in so much pain and agony I was in tears...

The doctor didn't give me shit and everyone in BDD assumed I was there just to score drugs. I found that funny cause an ER visit has a 75 dollar co-pay. And I could get many Dilauded for that price, but they wouldn't listen. Kept on calling me a junkie trying to score drugs... 8)

I'm glad you found a doctor that was willing to help your stomache pain; I wish the one I had that day was more sincere toward my pain. Oh well, Seattle here I come lol :)

Did you ask for painkillers? I didn't ask, I was just howling in pain and they simply told me "we will give you something for the pain" and when I asked what, they said "dilaudid". The bill I got confirms it right here, three 1mg dosages of hydromorphone IV administered to the patient.

Somehow I can see walking into an ER complaining of stomach pain, and then ASKING for opiate pain killers is a red flag as far as they're concerned. I'm pretty sure that patients can get silently "flagged" when a nurse or doc may think they could be after drugs. Also, was the hospital in a bad area? They probably get junkies in there all the time if that's the case.

I understand why you think it's BS, but I was there just a week earlier with the same problem so they knew I was not BSing at all. My first visit didn't get me anything. It also helps if you have your girlfriend there telling the doctors how you've been like this for days. :)

Look, I'm *not* trying to help anyone score drugs, but next time you're in the hospital for pain issues, and you honestly think you deserve some opiates, keep writhing and howling in pain, don't stop howling and make sure they hear you! The whole time you're waiting, make it VERY known you're in terrible pain. Don't ever sit there still and calm, they'll never give it to you, even if you deserve it.

I have nothing to prove, but just 'cuz I love being right:

That's from my hospital bill. There's even an area code (425) from the eastside of Seattle so you know it's legit.

Aha! Sounds great bud. Same thing happened to me last week. Went in for to put in a cardiac monitor and got a headache
"how bad is the pain?"
"Well it's not going to kill me but it's around a 7"
*walks out and back with a syringe*
"What's that?"
"It's called hydromorphone. We'll give you an injection every four hours." *
eyes light up* "Ya don't say?"

They sent me home a warm and fuzzy day and a half later ASKING me to take the script for the dillys!!

Weird doctors. Only one I'll ever like lol.
