Can you lose some of an IV shot in scar tissue lump?

Okay, so I had started to notice that I wasn't really feeling my hits when iv-ed into certain spots on the inner elbow veins..I had hard lumps on each. Do you think it's possible when I shot up that it was getting lost in there somewhere?

I know this sounds weird and I assumed it was just my imagination but I didn't use for a week and these hard lumps actually went away (I thought it was permanent scar tissue) and I was really feeling my hits but now the lumps are back and in certain spots..even when I register..I don't get the rush.

Today when I iv-ed I actually watched the hard lump get a little bigger, i immediately pulled out but it was weird because it didn't hurt and I'm just confused.

Does anyone else have experience with this "phenomenon"? They register, push in fine with no pain but don't get the rush when injecting in a certain spot...like it gets clogged or blocked?

When you overuse certain spots for IV use, the veins can suffer some cumulative damage and get "leaky"...so that you still register, but lose part of your shot along the way because the vein hasn't healed sufficiently. I've definitely felt this. Maybe try using another vein, or at least rotate your injection sites?

Thank you! I def am using other sites, i would just go there when I needed to hit fast but not even worth it now that I know I AM losing some.

DUDE!!!!! This just happened to me with a fatty gram shot! Registered a little slowly but didn't sting or burn, even got me those sharp tingles but no euphoric rush as a shot of that strength should do. Then I noticed a huge lump at the injection site (shaped like a small mango) and a little sore....I think maybe all my arm veins are done :(

I feel your pain bro! It makes me so sad to think of all the missed rushes going through my stupid arm veins and having them be either "leaky" or lost in the lump. Lol

Which vein did this happen on? And did the mango sized bump leave fairly quickly?

You say you think ALL your veins on your arms are done for..so you mean more spots then just the crook of your elbow? I thought the two main veins there were gone forever, couldn't even register a little bit so I was utilizing my other ones. After about a week they popped back up!

Then after using those veins again like a gluttonous idiot, really hard lumps of scar tissue formed and so began the losing of the shot again.

But good news my friend! Just 5 days without using at all and they got like 85% better. What I thought was permanent hard lumps actually left and my veins came back nicely.

It's been said many times, many ways but a new needle each time and rotating sites and slowly moving up the vein towards your heart will keep veins optimal and track marks almost non-existent.
