This was about a month into my IV heroin addiction, so I was just now starting to get really comfortable with the drug and the MOA.
The night started off like any other, getting a half gram of nice tan rock heroin, and hanging out with a good friend of mine. We both loaded up 1/8g shots and blasted off.
0:00 - 1/8 gram heroin ingested through IV
0:15 - in the middle of the nod. watching a movie, feeling amazing. I get a call from a friend that he had the Alprazolam powder that I had ordered. I was to buy a ball (3.5g) for $300. I really didn't want to do it right then, as it was almost midnight, but he was going to sell it to someone else and I wanted to make sure I got it.
He lived about 45 minutes away, but me and my friend got into my car and took off.
1:00 (T+ 1 hour) - arrived at my dealers place. He informs me the last time that I had bought powder that it was actually Diazepam powder and that "this was so much better." He then dips his knife into his bag and shoves approximately 35mg worth of powder into my mouth.
1:05 - Ingest 35mg Alprazolam powder basically against my will. I tell my dealer that I had shot up heroin earlier and that that was dumb what he just did to me.
1:10 - Start the drive back home. About 15 minutes away from my house I black out. My friend makes me pull over and he drives the rest of the way and dumps me, passed out on my couch.
13:00 (T+ 13 hours) - I wake up at 2:00 in the afternoon, 3 hours late to work. I'm still woozy. I get into my car and speed to work. Halfway there I ram another car. The police show up, I had hit my head, so that added to my incoherence.
I loudly yell at the cop and anyone that will listen that I "hadn't been drinking, so I'm not taking a breathalizer!!" I ended up getting handcuffed and taken to jail on a couple charges.
Spend the weekend in jail slipping in and out of conciessness, first time I've ever been there. I meet my roll dealer thats in there too, so it was nice to see a familiar face. I'm told I was also taken to the hospital before jail, but I don't remember that at all.
All in all, the night ruined my life for awhile. But it taught me a huge lesson, one that I will never forget. So yeah, I know I was dumb, but the alpra ingestion I wouldn't have done at all if it wasn't shoved into my mouth. The guy was fucked up from it so he doesn't even remember doing it to me.
Needless to say, I don't call that guy anymore. But I have enough alpra powder to last the rest of my life. and I don't combine benzos and opiates anymore, I haven't since that night.
This happened September 2007.
I got my blood results back recently (which they tested me in jail), and the alprazolam showed up in a high concentration, and seemed to be mixed with a small amount of diazepam as well. It's weird, but the heroin did not show up. Neither did the coke and marijuana that should have been in my system.
Now that I am on methadone treatment especially, I haven't done benzos in months.
Don't mix them kiddos.
