Sooooo..... I've been shooting dope for about 3 months now, after like 2 years sniffing it. Only thing is i have someone do it for me. I know how to do it, my main problem is using one hand. How can i find a vein, pull on the plunger to make sure i am, and then inject all with a steady hand? This is the hardest thing for me. Any tips? Thanks all.

If you look around BL (in the Other Drugs forum specifically) you'll find a billion threads on this subject, but I'll try to help a bit anyway -
Well, if you're right handed I'd recommend you inject in your left arm obviously - look for the veins near the crook of your elbow. If they're not visible enough, tie something around your upper arm (shit...forgot what it's called, someone help me out please), I use a belt and it works fine tbh. You can also clench your fist and that'll make the veins pop out more.
The important thing is to make sure it's indeed a vein into which you're injecting, and not an artery (look up a diagram on the internet). You'll know if you've registered into an artery because when you draw back on the plunger, the blood will be very bright and it'll come out with a lot of pressure. It'll also burn a lot. If you see this, do NOT proceed with injecting as it could result in a loss of limb.
You'll know you've registered when you pull back on the plunger and a little blood comes into the syringe. And then well, just push back. Don't really know what else to say, good luck, be safe, and remember to never re-use the same needle.

Oh wait, just found the IV megathread. You should check it out - http://www.bluelight.ru/vb/threads/...ation-MEGATHREAD-and-FAQ-II-show-me-the-blood

^^

Yeah. Read the IV megathread thoroughly..

But, ideally.. you really should have somebody there in front of you to show you first hand what to do. You can only pull so much from the internet... no matter what we say, we can't be there to hold your hand and tell you what you're doing wrong, etc, and with something as serious as IV drug use... that is what you need.

Be very careful and do seriously reconsider messing with this shit.

I don't think anyone has any business injecting drugs if they can't do it themselves and need someone else to do it for them. I would never trust anyone else to inject me (aside from a trained medical professional in a medical setting). Only you can feel if something feels wrong.

You can practice the motions of holding the syringe and registering with an empty syringe with the cap on the needle.

Here is one way to hold the syringe:

Be careful with the veins in your hand. They roll a lot and it's very easy to miss, which isn't pleasant. If you don't have access to the veins in your arm, I'd suggest you thoroughly reconsider injecting (although you should anyway).

Failing reading the guides available here at bl and other offsite links then there is always the option of video tutorials available for viewing on youtube and other video streaming sites.

Oh. You succeeded. Congrats?! ;) Now the part where practicing self control in avoiding addiction comes into play. All the warnings arent for nothing; IV use is a whole nother game and beast altogether. Should you let it get the better of you.

Dont be afraid to ask for ANY other advice relative to IV use as well as its seductive and addictive grip it can get ahold of you with.

^That's true...OP you should seriously consider going back to snorting before it's too late. The longer you wait the smaller your chances of this not ruining your life. I've never heard of an IV H addiction ever ending well, for anyone.
Especially if you're immediately having to inject in tiny fragile veins.
