SO I usually take methadone recreationally but started to crave that old rush, so I went and copped a bunch of 2mg. dilaudid....

It has been a long time since I have injected anything, but I noticed something weird and realize now that I have done it ever since my first shot of heroin...

I will prepare the shot, pull back, let it register, but when I go to IV I will only push plunger down like a 1/4 of the way, wait a few seconds, push it down more, see how that feels, and push it down more, etc... For me I get such a short rush from the dilaudid that I will leave the rig in my arm for up to 15 minutes and wait like 5min between each shot (by shot I mean pushing the plunger down a little more).

I use big rigs and like to have like 8mg in there at a time...

The rush is so short it is like crack of the opiate world... I am quickly seeing why I love the long continuous high of large doses of dolophine lol

Is it dangerous to do this? It it best to take the rig out immediately upon injecting?

Thanks for reading..

btw I have noticed the skin will kind of pull at the needle when I take the rig out of my arm, and it leaves a longer lasting more irritated looking mark..

edit that into ur first post, we try not to double post.......

its not really unsafe unless you nod out, this can be a problem

I don't think there really should be any problem other than it maybe feeling a bit irritated. I've noticed that if I'm ever in the ER and have a IV in, after a while it'll feel irritated kinda itchy like a histamine reaction type itch and the same thing happens if I take a while doing a shot at home. Other than that I don't really see how it could become an issue besides nodding out as mentioned in the above post.

Dilaudid is great, but shooting pills has to be extremely unhealthy. Im not sure which is worse....shooting filler that is not intended for the human blood stream or shooting something that was actually intended for the blood but in non scientific dosage. I would almost take my chance with dosage after testing the water rather than shooting filler.

man it sounds like you should just get yourself an iv that you can swab and sterilize so you can shoot into it however and whenever you want.

I've noticed after taking methadone when banging a D, the rush/high is much much shorter. As far as leaving the needle in your arm, I don't know how safe/unsafe it is.
