Hello all. So I happen to come across some 4mg white dilaudid hydromorphone pills. The ones with the capitol "M" on one side and a "4" on the other. Now I have used these before, but I have only snorted them. I recently started to try and use them intravenously, because the rush and overall effects from snorting these things was not very pleasurable or worth it. And I am aware that the best bang for your buck so to speak is shooting these. I have read up on safe injecting habits and have successfully shot heroin before a couple of times. I understand that preparing these dilaudids for IV is a similar method to preparing Heroin. You crush the pill as finely as you can, place it in a spoon or bottle cap or whatever, add water, filter, draw up, sterilize, and shoot. My problem happens at the add water and filter stage. I seem to always end up with a gunky pasty residue that doesn't seem to work too well. I do not get the same amount of water in the syringe as the amount of water that I add to the dilaudid. I am using a standard 1CC insulin syringe and I add about 40 units of water to the dilaudid. However I still always end up with this gooey substance and when I attempt to draw up the solution I barely get any liquid in the syringe. Am I just not using enough water? I have read not to apply heat so I have never done that. What would be a more effective unit of water that I should add to only 1 4mg dilaudid pill? Thank you.
