IV Dilaudid barely working?

I have been shooting Roxane Dilaudid 4 mg tabs and I'm barely getting high.

I'm using 40 units per tab and even putting water on the left over powder and shooting that too.

I'm on 40 mg Methadone every day. I'm sure it's not blocking it, because I can get high on dope just fine. However, I'm shooting 6-7 of these Dilaudids.

Am I doing something wrong? It seems like I'm in the twilight zone or something.

Well how long have you been on methadone? It could have drastically raised your tolerance. But even then I would think you would still feel the initial rush from hydromorphone, especially at 24mg+.

I'd be careful if you keep shooting them and feeling nothing. Could be missing the vein and it could come up later? You think you'd tell but hey there has to be some explanation. Doubt there is some sort of special relationship where methadone only blocks hydromorph.

I doubt 3 days is enough for ones tolerance to decrease noticeably. He also stated that he can get high on heroin, so idk if it has to do with tolerance. Maybe the OP is getting sold fake pills? IDK, I highly doubt that though.

3 DAYS is more then enough time to lower tolerance from dillies and tar. BIGsherm do you even use these substances(dillies and tar) to know what your saying?

I think it's the methadone. I was on a fairly low (sorry don't remember exactly) dose of methadone couple weeks ago and 8 mgs if dilaudid (a shitload at my tolerance) was far less effective than I'd expected.

yea dude dillies will get you high as fuck but are kinda defenseless against a high tolerance, IE if you come off something with a long half life like oxy or methadone then dillies wont give you the full effect because they have a short half life.

it could take 3 weeks to kick methadone but only takes 3 days to kick dillies

I kicked dillies after binging for a month on them, lasted 3 days but i was asleep most of the time thnx to good old xanax

Yes I was addicted to opiates of all kind for several years, and have been clean for about 7 months. I have more than enough experience on the subject. And IMO 3 days does not decrease your tolerance much at all. You might get blasted if you do a shot of hydromorphone because you will obviously be in withdrawals, but after that initial rush it's back to where it was.

Well no shit. Just because it has a longer half-life than hydromorphone does not mean it has a long half-life. Oxycodone has a half life of 4-6 hours, whereas hydromorphone has one of 2-3 hours.

A little over a month. I do feel the rush, but then I'm not high at all. Or if I am, it's for like 5 minutes.

I was thinking that it was just the methadone blocking it or raising my tolerance, but I'm doing only slightly larger amounts of dope than I was doing before getting on it.

Nope, got them from the pharmacy in a little bottle with my name on them. Also, I have missed before and I know I didn't miss these. Plus, I feel the rush, just no high after. I was thinking the methadone might be blocking it, but see above.

I'm on methadone. It would take a lot more than 3 days for even enough of it to leave my system to begin to lower my tolerance, plus, why would I want to be sick for 3 days just to get a little bit higher?

Yeah, I have to tend to agree. I've gone almost all the way through withdrawal from heroin before (5 days) and then got high and my tolerance was only a little bit lower and then it was back up in an instant.

I think that is actually pretty normal with hydromorphone, after the rush the drop-off is pretty steep. I actually barely feel anything after the rush. It truly is the crack of opiates.

you mean alot higher.

my opinion is this.....

your tolerance is raised more than you think.....so you get the rush, but the high wont be as pronounced.....on top of this, your building even more tolerance (esp with dillies).....

this is why you get high on dope, the "legs" are way stronger.
