IV Buprenorphine Question

Sup guys. So, I'm really fuckin high right now. I IV'd 3mg of Suboxone, drank 2 Sam Adams Boston Lagers, and smoked a few bowls of good nugs. I'm nice and itchy, euphoric, and even nodding a little.

I have a small heroin habit, i IV about 1 - 3 bags a week, 1 bag at a time, and I don't really get dopesick when I don't use. I used 1 bag of H IV yesterday.

My questoin is, today when i IV'd the bup, it took like 20 minutes for me to feel anything. I thought i somehow got a fake pill or something when I first did it, cus I didn't feel ANY rush. Is it normal for buprenorphine to take about 20 minutes to take effect even when IV'd? Why is that? Okay, thanks guys! :)
 
It does take a while for bupe to kick in regardless of how it's taken but 20 does seem kinda long but everyone is different. And I've personally never heard of a suboxone rush and there definitely not meant to be shot..
 
It does take awhile for bupe to kick in by IV use, strangely enough.
 
It might not have been 20 minutes, it might've been more like 10. it was ATLEAST 10 minutes though, and no i did NOT miss the vein.
 
You will not get the typical rush you get from other full agonists. Your 10 min come up is the best you can expect.

Really the only advantage to injecting buperenorphine is the increased bioavailability and the quicker kick in time. Unless you are very limited in the amount of sub that you have and are using micron filters I would suggest just going with the SL or IN route of administration. Otherwise IV is not really worth the risks.

I find snorting my dose to only take 20 to 30 min at most to kick in and full effects within 30 to 45 making it more than efficient.

The only reason I have ever found IV worth wile is when mixing it with a good shot of midazolam which gives a fantastic rush that somewhat subsides as the bupe starts to kick in. This should only be done by those with a good tolerance to both bupe and benzos and only when using a micron filter. Mixing an extremely strong water soluble benzo with strong opiate is very dangerous and again should only be attempted by someone who knows what they are doing and who knows how to adjust the dose of both very potent medications. From what I understand a very large portion of overdoses related to bupe are a result of this exact combination so any one who does not feel 100% that they know how to dose properly should not even think about attempting this.

Just stick with blowing or taking your sub as it was meant to be taken.

If you are looking for a rush just get something else.

I think I like IV'ing the Bupe. I'm nodding face right now, i've IV'd about 6mg so far since 8pm last night, have about a 2 mg chunk left, probably gonna split it into 2 1mg shots.

I also took 200mg Trazodone and 125mg Diphenhydramine at about 5 am, and I havent actually 'slept' at all, haha. I just laid down and nodded out and it was great, i haven't had a nod from opiates in a while. About 9am smoked a nice bowl of kush, and 20 minutes ago just popped another 75mg Diphenhydramine and 100mg Trazodone, and i'm going to smoke another bowl of kush in a few minutes. Good day fellas

Fuck, I have no cigarettes though, all i have is a can of dip. oh well, i guess havin some dip is better than having nothin :(
 
Why are you taking the Trazodone and Diphen? All they are going to do is add a little bit of sedation but at the doses you are taking it seems like it would become almost uncomfortable and take away from the sub.

These drugs are not recreational and it seems like they would just mess up your high.
 
yeah it takes a while for IV bupe to kick in and there in no rush per-se which sucks but i enjoy IV'ing my bupe (must be my needle addiction) but I also cop a nod from my IV bupe but ive noticed after doing it a few days in a row there is NO nod nor difference between IV and SL but the fact you could use less and get the same effects by going IV
 
if you've had this habit going on for some time maybe you're just becoming tolerant to the bupe. once i had a heroin habit i sure didn't feel anything from bupe, no matter how long i waited.
