Misc IV alcohol, worst idea ever

I have a friend who IV'ed an entire syringe of vodka(so either 1/2cc - 1cc) and he was totally fine. Was it damaging to his vein and could it have ended up worse, as described by captain.heroin? Absolutely but what do you expect when shooting such a substance into part of your body that is designed only to carry blood - a non corrosive substance?

You could say this for injecting anything really. Ethanol is not corrosive, but it is harmful to sensitive tissue.

on a similar note, has anyone ever tried soaking a tampon in vodka/alcohol and putting it in an orifice? i had a friend who swears by this but i feel like it would be really easy to consume too much

I plugged alcohol once, but not enough to get me high. I only used it as a medium to dissolve dilaudid in in an attempt to increase absorption.

It burned when it was going in. I thought that I had read somewhere recently that there's been a bunch of cases of alcohol poisoning from rectal alcohol use because only a small amount is needed, but I can't find that page. I wouldn't recommend it though because alcohol is very bad for your tissues.

Also, what the fuck about plugging a tampon? If you're going to plug something, do it as an enema. But don't plug alcohol, it hurts, it's dangerous and it damages your tissues. Alcohol is one drug that should either be taken orally or abstained from completely.
