It's Official- I'm clean from here on out! :)

^ And by "some", you mean a portion that takes up most of the plate. I hear ya. All we can do is educate people on what is a proper portion size and on the effects of eating more than the portion size. With other foods, you eat too much, you gain weight from the excess calories. With meat, you not only gain weight from the excess calories, but you put yourself at risk for a plethora of diseases.

Update

Skateboarding is now Journey fyi ;)

anyway, I'm doing great. Honestly haven't even thought about using any substances. I've had a beer or two here and there but thats it. No cravings or anything- I feel much happier, energetic and confident without drugs. I've been jogging every single day (about 5 miles). Eating properly, well decently good lol. The only thing I need to get in check is my sleeping pattern. I tend to have problems falling asleep.. I've looked into melatonin and even 5htp since it converts into melatonin. but hopefully I'll have my sleeping pattern in check soon.

It's amazing how some people say they can't quit drugs because they need them to feel normal, it's all in the head. Sure you'll experience withdrawals, and probably feel like complete shit for a few days or maybe even a couple months depending on how severe the addiction was and what drug was abused, but ANYBODY can overcome drug addiction and live a much happier life sober. No bullshit. :D

Take care guys

Thanks for updating us, OP! And glad to hear you're doing well. :)

I know addiction isn't tough to beat, but feeling amazing is wayyy worth it in the long run--It's a shame that so many people want the instant gratification instead.

very well done on making the tough descision on changing your life! I have told myself so many times that i am never touching drugs again (usually once i hit rock bottom). but once i get healthy again i usually get back to my old ways because of the people i hang around with and the way i live.

as for suppliments to take, id strongly advise Rhodiola rosea. it promotes 5-htp, reduces stress levels, gives you energy during the day without making you feel wired and helps you sleep well at night. Its an adaptogen so no need to worry about gettin addicted as it doesnt change your body but it changes the way your body reacts to stressful situations, etc. iv been taking it for about 4 days now for depression and im already reaping the benefits!

keep yourself occupied, set targets and i wish you all the best!

This, and drink some Marley's Mellow Mood. :P Good shite, mate.

Yup, you read the title correctly. I decided to quit all my drug use, because not only is it preventing me from accomplishing thing's I want to accomplish, but overall and in all honesty, it's not filling that "void" anymore...and the sooner I quit and start filling that void the sooner I will be truely happy. In all honesty I've been using drugs probably why a lot of people do, to cover up issues,to increase mood and get that quick pleasure without having to work for it...but in reality- drug's don't solve the problem its a temporary fix that just screws things up more by wasting time etc. (Yes, I just now finally learned this and thank god I did while I'm still some what young lol).

I've been using/abusing drugs since I was about 15 years old. (I'm 21 now).

I smoked cannabis everyday all day pretty much from 16-21 years old with occasionaly popping pain killers (vic's,oxys etc.), and even went through an alcohol phase where I was drinking a pint of whiskey every night for 2 weeks streight. I've also been consuming Gabapentin everyday for 2 years (idk why I guess it made me more social).

A couple months ago I upgraded my drug use to a HARDCORE drug:| ....Crystal Meth... (mainly because I tryed adderall before and loved the stimulant high).

smoked meth roughly 50 times within the past 2 months and snorted it about 3 times. (haven't done that shit in weeks and never will again).

When I quit meth a few weeks ago- I got into Adderall... and I've been abusing Addy's for the past 2 weeks. Started out taking 40mg/day...and ended up eventually taking 110mg of adderall IR/day .

I decided to quit EVERYTHING...Pot,gabapentin,alcohol,adderall,meth,pain killers...EVERYTHING...

Thanks to my new android phone I downloaded an application that keeps track of how long I've gone without drugs...

I haven't experienced any withdrawls from anything other then tiredness/lack of energy, which will pass in about a week I'm sure.

no depression from quitting either, if anything I actually feel happier knowing that now I'll be getting my life on track and accomplishing goals etc. =D

I've been taking a multi vitamin everyday, fish oil, and protein shakes. Also plan on starting a work out schedule soon which will be pretty cool. (get that old 6 pack back haha).

I now truely understand why drugs are illegal- I used to think that its your own body and you should be able to do whatever you want to it... They're illegal to help prevent yourself from totally fucking your life up...regardless of how much fun or how great the euphoria is.

Wanted to share my story- Is there anybody else that recently just quit? If so, how's it going for you?

Also,
I plan on posting random updates on here about how things are working out for me as time goes by.

Well done to you,you are showing a lot of maturity for a 21year old.
Drugs are fun or people wouldn't ever do them. Getting out of tbe scene now is the best decision you will probably ever make. Take it from a 40 year old heroin addict, I wish I had made the same decision as you at that age as would have saved myself a lot of shit over the years.
Good for you and I hope you stick with it
