My goodies didn't turn up today so I'm just gonna get stoned tonight. I ought to be taking it easy anyway, surgery again Thursday! At the moment I'm devoting half of my time to packing stuff in my flat (going to store it at my folks' temporarily whilst I recover from the op before moving to London) and half to learning the 3D software, Maya. I've been a 3DS Max user for 14 years (6 of which professionally) and haven't needed to switch yet, but the new studio I'm going to work for uses Maya so I finally have to learn. Needless to say they're like apples and oranges and I'm banging my head against the desk a lot! Old habits die hard.

Going to Bristol for the day tomorrow to hang out with friends and family (last beer before the op heh), then back home, Sunday will be mostly like today, packing and getting angry at the computer. The trouble is the more I pack the less other toys I have to distract me from the computer so the more I have to learn! :/

had to learn Maya for one of my uni modules, was fucking nails, I ended up switching modules in the end. Incredibly powerful software though, really wish I had the patience to learn it better.

Well, my original friday plans to work on an essay all day, have a couple drinks with a friend and get an early night turned into sleeping until about 5pm and eventually catching the best nod I've had in months. This was quite the nice surprise :D

Well, I'm at home drinking cheapass bubbly shit and doing snide RC stims. Hope to redeem myself tomorrow with decent booze if not some actual furries with some actual company that isn't my cat.

Still, this combo prompted me to say hello at last, so its not all bad. x
