I think alcohols had its time and it should be replaced with another drug with the same or safer addiction profile. What would you replace it with?
I'd think it would be something similar with a lower side effect or addiction profile.
Kava would fit the bill if it didn't taste so wonky
Kratom might, but its a tricky one to get the ROA right, who wants to eat capsules or make tea (same with kava) when alcohol taste so good?
Pot is already a people's drug, it is kind of hard to include it in this discussion since its so prevalent already. Reasons keeping it from top spot? Price, legality, too many different strains compared to alcohol which is a single substance that is more predictable. Pot you have THC, cbd, etc
I'd go with something like khat I guess
I think cannabis is about the only practical substance to replace alcohol and hopefully keeps moving towards this direction of acceptance.
Ummm...some other Gaba drugs. Those GHB anouglas GVL or whatever, but I think addiction kicks in quicker if say someone had a dose each night, wish I lived in the time when GHB was available in health food stores, lol. Benzo's arent practial, many people don't find them euphoric and would kinda suck at a party if that was all that was available..Really the only thing is the good ole' liver killin' drug used mostly in rape cases while other drugs get banned, and get a shit ton of people killed in drunk driving accidents, and kill heavy drinkers from liver damage and causing cancer.....What about the RC that is suppose to have the same effects of alcohol but without the hangover?? Have no Idea what it's called though. Really drinking is a social thing though for most, like "lets sit down and have some drinks". I cant think of anything to replace that really....Definaley not pot, that's a way to get everyone at the party on the couch.
Among my crowd MDMA is the "people drug" alcohol is just something on the side and not used to excess
