itches -telfast/fexofendaine ok?

did 180mg DHC and 200mg Codeine, 1mg alprazolam....is fexofendaine ok for itches and safe? 120mgs telfast

Please answer fast...ahhhhhhhh itch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Of course. Well Telfast anyway. Be careful though it might blunt the high. Maybe not because youve already taken the codeine but I know if I take Telfast during the day before taking codeine it really affects the codeine high.

Telfast is fine, but it's not the strongest antihistamine and I prefer the sedating ones to the second generation.

Mr Blonde you take something like a phenergan about 30mins after taking the codeine ... similar to how you would take some valium or whatever a bit after taking the codeine?

I know Ive asked you this before but I cant remember. Im always paranoid that Ill kill the codeine by taking an anti-histamine.

^ Yeah that's right; well, I'm using doxylamine right now but yes I take it roughly half an hour after the codeine. A lot of the first generation antihistamines have been shown to inhibit CYP2D6, and I don't want to take that risk. The doxylamine has been great, have been nodding out even with the codeine.

So phenergan is a first gen and telfast a second gen anti-histamine?

^ Yep. The second generation are designed not to cross over into the CNS and so not cause drowsiness. They usually don't work as quickly as the first generation, but for those who have chronic hay fever they are relatively safe to take every day through out the offending times of year and when taken like that will help prevent allergy symptoms showing in the first place.
