Hi all,
I can remember only bits and pieces of friday night but, I am told i.v'd vodka (~0.5cc 4 times) directly in a blood vessel slightly above and behind the jawbone. Prior to this, I know I had smoked and i.v'd a larger than normal amount of meth because I've been dealing with the crash for 3 days. I am very concerned about a semi firm mass that has persisted near the vodka injection site. It's slightly swollon, about the size of a dime, with a dull, constant throbbing pain, and normal color. I'm worried that the alcohol may have caused a vein or artery to balloon. I will be amazed if it isn't damaged. I'll give it two more days then go to the doc, but has anyone else ever seen this? Any chance it'll go away? Hopefully very few people have done something this foolish.

*I understand how stupid it is to attempt to I.V. in the head/neck region, as well as the risks of I.V. administration of alcohol solutions above 10% or so. I know there must have been a reason I did it, but nobody that saw it will tell me.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Please see a doctor as soon as possible. It's sounds very worrisome and it's too difficult to assess over the internet. I am going to close this thread in the hopes that you will seek medical attention rather than waiting around for a bunch of purely speculative answers. Please PM me if you have any questions.
