'Sucking on a balloon filled with a substance known as ‘hippy crack’, Prince Harry may have finally thought he had found a safe way to get as intoxicated as his heart — and head — desired.
At a party in London last Friday, he was in hysterics after repeatedly inhaling from balloons full of nitrous oxide — more commonly known as laughing gas.
He was spotted at a charity fancy-dress party, surrounded by leggy society girls, dancing and laughing until 5am. And he seemed confident in his belief that his latest means of getting ‘high’ was legal.'
'Harry is just one of hundreds of thousands of youngsters across Britain are indulging in nitrous oxide, the latest drug craze sweeping the country.
But, far from being innocent fun, an increasing number of experts are concerned that this so-called legal high can lead to long-term health damage — and even kill.
Dubbed ‘hippy crack,’ laughing gas is being billed at fashionable parties as a ‘safe’ alternative to illegal drugs because of the intense euphoria it produces.
Each hit costs just around £1.50 and can cause hallucinations, loss of limb control and uncontrollable laughter.'
'As for Buckingham Palace, when asked whether it was concerned that the third in line to throne was taking a drug that’s illegal to supply for recreational use, a spokesman’s was unequivocal. ‘We have no comment to make at all,’ he said.'
