Israel is under attack

@mal3volent You're veering into the realm of genocide denial.

I've previously compared Gaza-hospital-provided numbers to the UN numbers and independent numbers with a margin of error of 0.5-3%.
Here is analysis from an individual far more credible than I am:

"Omar Shakir, the Israel and Palestine director at Human Rights Watch, said he saw no evidence that the numbers were being manipulated.

“We have been monitoring human rights abuses in the Gaza Strip for three decades, including several rounds of hostilities. We’ve generally found the data that comes out of the ministry of health to be reliable,” he said.

“When we have done our own independent investigations around particular strikes, and we’ve compared those figures against those from the health ministry, there haven’t been major deviations."

The last time you came in this thread I replied to you. Now you're back not responding to any actual arguments, just dropping buzzwords and pasting blocks of text from Wikipedia.

If you had actually read any of my past dozen posts about about the death count numbers you'd have a better understanding of my nuanced position rather than just shrieking "genocide denial".

Try responding with your own thoughts to any of my posts over the past 200 pages without trying to emotionally manipulate with propaganda words or google-wiki-pasting. All of my thoughts on every issue are exhaustively detailed in my own words. Try approaching it more honestly.

Did you read any of the posts I just sent?

At this point, I am so jaded with CEPS that I have realized that copy-pasting Wikipedia articles on issues people are misinformed on will be just as effective as spending hours writing out my opinions.

Either way, people are just going to scroll right past the posts and go back to bootlicking a country that takes hundreds of billions of dollars from your nation while killing your fellow citizens.

I really don’t understand why people who aren’t right-wing Jews or members of that anti-Semitic Christian sect (the one that wants to send all the Jews to Israel to bring about the rapture) would be dick riding for Israel half this hard.

At least go learn the history first.

Maybe CEPS makes you uncomfortable because it forces you to step outside of your discord echo chamber where your views on every single issue are constantly reinforced and you never have to challenge yourself intellectually.

The constant emotional outbursts about dick riding and bootlicking are just further proof of your inability to engage honestly on the substance of the issues.

CEPS doesn’t make me uncomfortable.
And if I recall correctly, I’m not the individual who pushes to censor dissenting opinions.

I really don’t understand the hostility where you ignore DMs while treating someone disagreeing with you or holding a different opinion as a personal slight that requires their opinion to be eradicated from Bluelight.
I have nothing against you just because we disagree on a political issue.
It seems like this isn’t reciprocated on your end.

This is my issue with CEPS.
No substantial discussion does anything but push people to agree with whatever they already believed, and it just turns into people taking everything they disagree with personally.

Lol, why are you bringing that shit into this discussion? Is it just more deflecting because you don't want to defend your political views?

I’m responding to what you said about the Discord being an echo chamber, which is what you guided the conversation towards instead of responding to the substantive information on the issue that I provided.

Ur wasting ur time.

The discord IS an echo chamber. That was in direct response to you saying you were jaded with CEPS.
You're the one that started talking about personal shit.

Why do you think that?

you and soso are politically aligned on this issue, as many leftists and far right conservatives are. 😂

I'm happy not to be included in that unholy alliance.

I'll just be sitting over here with my common sense "progressive-in-2016" values.

Isn't that convenient? Now you two love birds don't have to defend your positions...
@arrall likes a comment saying I'm okay with kids getting killed
my, my. I don't think I'm the one being hostile....

My position is it’s terrible that thousands of CHILDREN are being killed.
Don’t really need to defend that if ur a normal person.

I agree it's terrible. The fact that Hamas used their millions of dollars in aid money to build an underground terrorist infrastructure instead of civilian bomb shelters is actually disgusting. Not to mention how they've been hoarding food and supplies for themselves.

Israel went to extraordinary lengths to evacuate civilians, more so than any other nation in history that I can think of. If the shoe were on the other foot, Hamas would have flattened Israel completely and killed every single Jewish man, woman, and child. That is their stated goal.

Israel has a right to defend itself and go after Hamas who have vowed to continue their attacks if left unimpeded. Hamas is a death cult. They could have ended the suffering of their people at any point by surrendering and releasing the hostages, but they don't. They "love death more than life." That's a quote.

The fact that some are criticizing Israel for trying to rid the world of a murderous, raping, terrorist group who attacked them and threatened to continue doing so is unbelievable to me.

Not a single person has criticised Israel for trying to rid the world of hammas 🙈
U twist things to suit ur narrative.
People criticise Israel for how they’re killing ridiculous amounts of civilians in the process.
Bulldozing infrastructure to prevent return to gaza
Denying water and electricity to an entire population leading to innocent people suffering.
That’s what people are criticising.
I think it’s all too late and no point discussing it much more as there isn’t a Gaza anymore anyway. It’s flattened

How do you propose they eliminate Hamas without collateral damage? especially when Hamas deliberately embeds themselves within civilian areas, prevent evacuations, put up roadblocks, etc? The importance thing is that they did the best they possibly could to minimize civilian casualties, given the circumstances.

An article from a distinguished scholar from the Military Academy at West Point and Professor of International Law:

ISRAEL – HAMAS 2023 SYMPOSIUM – THE IDF, HAMAS, AND THE DUTY TO WARN

by Michael N. Schmitt | Oct 27, 2023

Concluding Thoughts

Without more facts, it is too early to say whether the IDF has complied with the obligation to warn in every case. However, there is no question that the IDF’s warnings practice, in general, is the gold standard. Indeed, as a matter of policy, the IDF typically exceeds what the law requires. It is likewise clear that its warning to evacuate northern Gaza constitutes an “effective warning,” as that concept is understood in IHL.

This is in sharp contrast to Hamas’s failure to provide any warnings to the civilian population of Gaza and its efforts to neutralize the effectiveness of the IDF’s. That Hamas has violated its own warning obligation under IHL is simply indisputable.

evacuate Gaza to where? They’re trapped in ffs.
Also they have evacuated civilians to certain areas then bombed those areas.

I don’t believe hammas accounts but I also don’t believe Israel’s or Americas.
They’re all full of shit
