But the point I made was, unlike say political questionnaires we might get in the UK where you can muddy the waters with the wording, when it comes to 'death penalty' and especially 'suicide bombers'.. lol.. where is there even room for a grey area in the wording? You're talking about murder in both cases, not whether you want the poll recipients to give the audience the false impression you might like the Tories policy X or Y. It's murder, for religious reasons. Can you think of a way to obfuscate that? I certainly can't.
I understand the point about Israel having injured and killed many innocent people as a result of their military operations. And the acts of cruelty, or murder, by Israeli settlers that the state perhaps could do more to prevent, though that is settlers not the state killing people.
But tactic? This is nonsense. We're talking pure barbarism. There was no military target or objective, just pure terrorizing of civilians. Which they must (unless they're idiots) know would incur a terrible wrath brought upon them. Such barbarism is only ever going to cause one reaction in all honesty, as much as we wish for peace.
I don't have understanding for the 'tactic'. Hamas, and undoubtedly many people in Gaza (they did vote for them after all), care more about blind religious hatred than they do about finding something better. They don't even care to imagine any better possibilities, because the precondition is Israel's destruction first, which is ridiculous because that is not going to happen unless they all want to get turned into glass.
It's like being a short kid getting bullied by the tall kid, then deciding your vengeance is going to be to murder his dog, his family, and burn his house down. No. You have to accept the hand as it is and fucking deal with it (there are many possibilities), not become a violent cunt. Israel is what it is, it's not going anywhere.
