Will it be like the West Bank, where there's no Hamas? Paradise huh. Palestinians suddenly treated as equals! Miracle stuff

You bomb the crap out of "medieval savages" you WILL get more "medieval savages". They're killing hundreds every day, thousands of homes flat out gone every day.

Putting this on all the regular Palestinians is the same logic Bin Laden used. All Americans culpable. I will never subscribe to such an argument

I don't think we should play the "who was here first" game, either. I think everyone there now should be able to stay and live in peace. All of those who actually want peace, anyway. I'm only advising to someguy not to start a contest that you are probably going to lose.

And you and the other dude are trying to argue that Hamas somehow isn't a reaction to being displaced, which is patently false

When Israel warned civilians to leave northern Gaza, Rahma Saqallah and her family fled south. But after Israeli bombs killed her huband and three of her children, she is heading back home.

How anyone can doubt the illegality of this is absolutely beyond me. Guy tells civilians to go south and has been consistently bombing the south also.

I totally agree that regular Palestinians shouldn't be held as culpable and punished, but how else do you target terrorists who literally hide and launch attacks using civilians as shields? That Palestinians are being killed is entirely on the elites of Hamas who live lives of opulence in Qatar while making plans which doom millions to war and all the attendant horrors of that. They've caused this conflict. This is literally what Hamas want. Think about what it means to say that the elites of a society benefit more from their citizens deaths than lives.

Do you think Israel should do nothing in response to Hamas' massacre? How does that not embolden them and lead to more Israelis being slaughtered?

I agree that Israel are, right now, possibly creating the next Hamas. But the factor which does this best is the religion these people subscribe to. In most places in the world where there is jihadism, there is also no Israel. It's a death cult that rewards followers for violence which arises regardless of external influences. The west (and east) will never have true peace when violent jihadism is still a cultural meme among Muslims.

It's honestly pretty low of you to juxtapose my words with something tragic like this as if there is some sort of connection there.

But I've learned how emotionally manipulative people can be when discussing this topic. So it's not really that surprising unfortunately. 😕
 
Thing about Iran is we'd have to bomb the shit out of them because their terrain would be like trying to drive tanks through the rocky mountains

Did you actually watch the video? Not just Iran. The UAE, Jordan, Bahrain, Saudi, Omam, Qatar, Egypt and Morocco.

Then you also have Russia who are no longer adhearing to nuclear code of conducts, obviously pushing the boundaries to see what reaction they get.

China still eyeing up Taiwan in the background.

It's a pretty messed up situation atm world wide. I think the US are potentially over extending themselves. If they don't have an answer to Russia breaking the nuclear code of conduct, or China invades Taiwan and they don't do anything, then their time acting as the world's police is over.

While there are huge issues with a unipolar world, it doesn't seem like we can have multiple great powers without some form of conflict. I've criticised the US for their global cop stance but also think there was some truth to the Pax Americana idea. At least, its more visible in its twilight years.

I'm very concerned about our future.

I think its a problem on both sides. I don't think any reasonable intelligent person could say Israel hasn't done anything wrong.

But to say that the Hamas attack was a natural reaction (which I would objectively agree with), it's sort of blame shifting. At it's core it is not that far from "she dressed like she wanted it" when a woman is sexually assaulted.

The violence on both sides should be condemned. The US should be spearheading the ceasefire instead of voting against it -_-... gotta feed the war machine.

Definitely not like "Israel dressed like she wanted it" more like "Israel broke down Palestine's door and started living in their house while punching their wife in the face every other day"

Although I definitely condemn the violence on both sides

Oh wow so you're sating colonialism caused this what a surprise. Someone allocated permissions to Britain of a land where Palestinians were living, and they gave the land to people who were not there why on earth would Palestinians be upset? These Israelis just showed up and made laws Palestinians couldn't live there or own property or vote no big deal right?
 
Maybe the "natives way of life" is where the U.S. is headed again, 100's maybe 1,000's of ethnic tribes constantly fighting eachother for resources 200 years from now

You don't have a decent grasp of the history and are not accurately reflecting reality with your statements.


In your analogy, the Israelis actually bought the property from Turkish landlords and the tenants told the new owners "fuck off Jews" and then there has been as nasty fight ever since. You are repeating the "stolen land" myth.
