I meant that he had been acquitted of being THE Ivan the terrible.
Yes he was sent to Germany in 2009 to stand trial again and was convicted of accessory to the deaths of close to 28,000 Jews.
He died 3 years later.

The kids were even torturing the hostages aswell.

I really don't like that Biden is bypassing congress to send Israel weapons. Not a good look. It's also pissing off his voter base.

Israel has more than enough to deal with the terrorists, they have 170,000 soldiers in their military, relatively one the biggest militaries in the world.

It's their fight, not ours. It also makes the US look complicit in "GeNoCiDe".

Plus, you can't fucking bomb terrorists hiding in tunnels under hospitals. Send in boots on the ground.

uh, pretty sure they've already done that and will continue to. Haven't you seen the videos of them destroying the tunnels? it takes a variety of methods to dismantle a network of tunnels that took years and years to construct and tens of millions of dollars.

I generally agree with this. But us giving weapons to help our allies defeat maniacal terrorists isnt the same as sending troops etc. Every powerful nation on Earth positions their assets and resources as needed to further their goals, including China and Iran.

And clearly the UN isn't going to do fuck all.

I agree that we don't need to go on decades long pointless endeavors, wasting billions of dollars and countless lives.
But I imagine the people railing against the World Police (the US) are much like those who want to defund the actual police domestically.
They'll be the first ones to cry for help when the shit hits the fan.

I hear this a lot "The world needs us".

But i fail to see where, and why. Situations tend to be worse once the US in involved.

I don't see how the world needs terrorists funded to topple governments, and then toppling the new government because it has a terrorist leadership
I just fail to see what the profit for the world is. I don't see how we needed protection from Iraq, Iran and Afghanistan, or the close to a million civilians you murdered there.

I fail to see how you made things better in North Korea, or in Yugoslavia, or in Vietnam, or Afghanistan, or Palestine, where did you actually for ONCE improve things?
And don't you dare say WW2, Russia beat our main host before you even joined the war.

How are you these "knights of justice and valor" in your heads, while simultaneously bringing nothing but death, I will never understand...

I know you don't want to hear bad things about your country. But I'm German, I grew up looking at how ugly human nature can be
You have to open your eyes if you want to see the world

If you want to understand Muslim pain, you have to understand what we did to them. And not just what happened in the last 70 years.
Look at medieval Europe, at Southern Spain and Southern Italy, look at the crusades, our systematic eradication of their fate

The situation in Israel is so bad, because we are talking about centuries of pain that flow in the Muslim Zeitgeist.
We as Westerners should feel at least some guilt for what we did to Arabia and Persia. Same with Africa. Or Asia.
