Misc isopropyl nitrite - Poppers

Ive been into poppers for a good number of years now. Mostly using for sex with my partner (I'm heterosexual, I know poppers have a reputation for gays but me and my girlfriend love them) and listening to music (usually sniffing every 5 minutes).

The poppers I grew up on we're isobutyl nitrite. Thinking back, they really packed a punch. Liquid gold and purple haze being my favourites.

However, back in 2008 (I think) the UK goverment banned isobutyl nitrite. The substitute we got was called isopropyl nitrite. This nitrite IMO is very inferior and not as safe. When I inhale this substance the buzz is very poor which requires me to take longer sniffs. After just a small session on this my face becomes very pale and my lips can turn blue. Scarey stuff. Also the morning after I can have breathing problems which require my to use a blue inhaler. These problems never happened with isobutyl. The sore head after sniffing too is far far worse than isobutyl. Once my bottle of isopropyl was opened it had to be binned after 2 days. There was no buzz after that. To be honest though, most of the nitrite was gone anyway


The point I'm trying to make here is be safe with isopropyl. People new to poppers here in the UK will have only tried this nitrite. It's very poor and really is not worth it.

During that time since the ban I have tried various overseas vendors. Sometimes I got lucky and even managed to try amyl nitrite. Most venders I use online are selling fake branded poppers. You can clearly tell from the packaging that these are fakes. However, they are far better than anything sold here in the UK. The problem is thought that I don't know what nitrite I'm inhaling from these fake vendors.

I miss isobutyl some much :(
 
I have little time used poppers, like you use it with my girlfriend, do not use it for sex, just to laugh some friends that have tried it for sex prefer marijuana, ecstasy, LSD or almost any hahahah else, we have only tested the RUSH brand, so I have a question, there really much difference between brands? I guess like all the originals are better than the imitations, but I mean if there is a clear difference using a RUSH LIQUID GOLD original and original, Greetings from mexico!

P.S. I will pay attention to the active chemical using what I buy
 
d33pblu3 - in my experience there seems to be slight differences between brands. Rush is often advertised as the strongest. The smell of the aroma is slightly different but this is of no concern as its the intensity of the high that's important. Do you know what nitrite is in the rush you are taking? We got rush isobutyl here in the UK and it was very strong. If they are all the same nitrite there should not be such a notable difference.

These fakes various online venders are selling are annoying. For example, I got a selection of different brands. They were all the same size and shape of bottle but they were all the exact same in intensity and smell. More annoying was the fact the advertise jungle juice (amyl nitrite) and it was not amyl nitrite. These bottle cost more but it's the exact same as the others.

Pontifex - Isobutyl was more intense than amyl for me. It's not to say I didn't enjoy amyl though.

Mrflowers - that will not happen again as I won't inhale that nitrite.

Again I will get back to the point I made in the original post, stay clear of isopropyl nitrite. To many problems with them for a rubbish high.

Also would be interested to hear in this thread what nitrite you get in you're poppers and what part of the world you are from?
 
I'm from Southern California and I've been getting into Rush (Isobutyl Nitrite) lately. I was introduced to it years ago while raving, my friend would give it to me while peaking off of E (which was amazing). I've been doing it a lot lately. Just whenever, while watching TV, while smoking weed and listening to music, and while sex. I love it, no headaches or any real side affects. I haven't tried any other brands or types of nitrites (Amyl is banned here), and don't really want to. Mostly because I feel I might be disappointed. Also, I much prefer this to the only other comparable thing I've had here, which is nos.
 
Yeah, sniffing poppers on e is amazing; did that years back. They're awesome if you do them just before orgasm, especially on coke or speed, although you wouldn't be doing your heart any favours there. I haven't done em for years now, had no idea there was even a ban in fact. Even pre-ban, poppers were just poppers-all these "branded" poppers were exactly the same its just clever marketing. Liquid Gold, Buzz, Rush...bollocks. We're too brand-conscious these days; a drug is a drug.

That being said, I've heard the nitrite is better than nitrate-apparently it's cleaner with no headaches. I believe its used to treat cyanide poisoning btw
