Recently, upon browsing my dad's closet for smokeables (cigs and weed), I stumbled upon massive amounts of cannabis plant trimmings, clippings, flowers and stems all labeled "Wonderwoman". I was really happy to find this because I was out of cannabis and tobacco AND had no alcohol; I took roughly 4 ounces of shake/trim 1.5 ounces of bud and a negligible amount of stems.
I am a highly experienced toker and all that came to mind was to smoke some of the buds -- or all of them -- and use the shake and trim to make... brownies? But...I hate brownies! So I made cannabutter using roughly 1 ounce of shake that contained negligible amounts of flower material. It got me really high. And then... I read about Iso Hash.
I didnt read much about it, and figured I could definitely do it, and I was wrong. So I popped some amps and set about crushing up all the plant matter. I did one wash with roughly 2 ounces of the material in a jar with 91% isopropanol and shook periodically for 4 HOURS! I let the other jar, filled with roughly the same amount of green, then sit for days, as the hash resulting from the first process lasted a long time. I did the second jar in the same way as the first about 4 days ago.
Then I read more online, saw the title "QWISO HASH" and immediately realized I fucked it up by dissolving so much chlorophyll, sugars, oils, etc., by letting the hash soups sit so long/shaking them like a true tweaker. I decided I would try this new method with the now completely dried shake from before.
I tried the quick-wash technique tonight and am more than happy with the results.
This time I only let it sit for about ten minutes and shook moderately, then strained, and then did exactly as before. The hash is much more pliable than before, easier to handle, less harsh, and seemingly more potent. Im so high right now and very happy because Im coming down from some meds and need to sleep. Rinsing it quickly makes such a big difference. I definitely recommend doing this.
