I recently made "iso hash" from a quantity of trim. "iso hash" is the term that seems to be common on the interwebs to refer the "hash" made by quickly soaking cannabis in isopropanol (rubbing alcohol) and then pouring off the alcohol before it dissolves lots of nasty stuff, and evaporating it.
So, followed procedures - got a dark brown, sticky goo. Even after drying for ~1 week, it's still soft enough that it doesn't hold it's shape. With no change at all in the past few days, i have to assume that it's going to stay like this if nothing is done. This of course is very inconvenient for smoking and storage. It's much easier to have a solid lump that you can shave a piece off of to smoke. Most guides i've read describe the product as drying to a solid that can be rolled into a ball and will stay in a ball; this stuff will turn into a blob within a few hours.
Has anyone had any experience with this before, and might reccomend a way to make it hold its shape? Right now, in order to get it off the glass plate it's sitting on, i need to scrape it off with a razor - needless to say, this means it cant be transfered into a smaller, more protected (and more discrete!) container; this isn't really acceptable - it's eventually going to get dirty as dust lands on it, and I can't store it securely.
Suggestions, anyone?
