ISO: academic articles on medicinal/historic use of marijuana

i am doing a research paper on marijuana, it's historical uses in ancient and indigenous cultures (both religious and medical), medicinal uses in modern society, and legislature in the us and foreign countries.

i am looking for academic articles and journals published by reputable sources...i'm set on information from news papers, documentaries, exposes, etc.
