Do you have pets? The wet jet solution isn't good for their paws (or them in general) if they walk on the floor while it's still wet, or if their paws get wet and they walk on the floor, picking up some of the solution. Or if they lick the floors (my German Shephard has been known to do this after something's dropped).
Unfortunately I don't have a source as I was given a magazine article years ago that had this info. in it. So, take it as you will, but I stopped using Swiffer.
Yeah I do, but not at my place. I'm talking about my college apartment, which is basically like a good sized motel room that has a kitchen/bathroom area and a carpeted bedroom/livingroom area. At my parents house there's 3 crazy cocker spaniels that I doubt will ever be totally housebroken, and a poor black cat that either fights to defend herself from the madness or else is a total recluse when the dogs rule the main floor. Poor Jada!
I didn't know that about the swiffer though. It's the solution that's particularly bad? What could be so different about it from normal cleaning supplies? That's worth looking into, plus you could always just put soap/water in the container if you wanted, or the oxyclean, or something like that. hmm...
Btw...it's strange because I used to always leave my bedroom in my parent's house a total mess, but now that I'm living on my own and just kinda have 1 motel room that I do everything in, I really want it to be clean as much as possible. I don't want to have to dig through BS clutter to do homework, play music, write, use the computer, have friends hanging out, etc. It's gotten me focused on the importance of cleaning, and it's a welcome distraction when I have too much homework to do.
