Is VIP worth it raves if you're rolling?

the VIP insomniac offers is hardly "luxury".

GoVentures is no better.

When I got it for MM it was still crowded even in the VIP areas, they wouldnt let you take your water or alcohol out, and the decorations were all super cheese. It was crappy paper tablecloths on foldout tables...everyone in VIP looked so confused and it was a mess, no one even cleaning that shit.

The extra cost wasnt worth it...I didnt even get my money in drinks and back then it wasnt an open bar, you were allowed like 1 free drink.

Plus it was a fuckin MASSIVE. Hence point was to go get trashed with the mass and dance, not sit around it a lower middle class VIP area with a bunch of wannabe yuppies. Its BARELY VIP...just barely enough to squeeze a bunch of extra cash outta you, better off spending the extra on beans, water, and glowstix

Also Important:
everytime I had to go to VIP I enedd up losing my friends because they didnt get VIP(couldnt afford it)

It ended up bein a drag movin in and out of the VIP area cause my friends couldnt do it. If you do it make sure you have at least one friend do it too.

IMHO the only real VIP is up in the skybox with the promoters or on stage with the photographers.
 
The one and only reason that I would buy VIP is to get in immediately during the winter when it's freezing cold. There's only one venue around here that actually has a decent VIP area anyway.
 
One time VIP included free Peter Piper Pizza. But every body was rolling and nobody ate that shit, then when 3-4AM came around people tore through those pizzas like maniacs.

Another time we did VIP because of free water, but they wouldn't let you leave the area with the water which was gay as fuck. You couldn't bring it into the music area, only this off to the corner area where they handed it out. Then they ran out of the water shortly after.

All bad experiences with VIP.

I hate buying a water a rave, and it's KIRKLAND from COSTCO, that shit is $4 a case of 35 bottles, stop selling it for $4 a bottle!!!! Give me a fucking Dasani or better yet a delicious Aquafina!
 
I have nooo problems drinking sink water- tap water is often cleaner than what you pay for in a bottle. This was an old post- my and my family/friends all chose the VIP route because at this event it does get you quite a lot of comforts, and the possibility I'll have place to sit given how massive my platform boots are is appealing on it's own. :) I'll likely post my opinion on the decision later if it was a bad one.
 
No way. Never liked VIP and bottle service bullshit.

VIP at raves must be a west coast thing though, I never remember there being any VIP nonsense when I was going out. Just an abandoned space, DJ's, minimal lighting and a few thousand people in a place they aren't supposed to be.
