Opioids Is this too much hydrocodone for me?

I've not read anything other than your opening post and maybe the first response, so this may have already been covered. I'm also assuming given the date this thread was started that you already have partaken in whatever manner you deemed most beneficial and safe, so I guess it's a little late for this, BUT...
I have learned the hard way that if I take a dose higher than what I already know satisfies me (as it seems was the case with your 45mg of hydrocodone) NO good can come from it long term. It may be blissful in the beginning, but in the end it's probable that you will regret starting this type of pattern. An unreasonably high tolerance is very difficult to explain to medical professionals ( if you are dealing with them ). If you are using another independent source, the obvious risks are legal repercussions and a habit that is too expensive to maintain.
I realize that you were simply inquiring about the safety of the higher dose, and in that area chances are you would PROBABLY be ok, IMHO ...but maybe not.
I just saw your question and felt SO compelled to throw in my 2 cents worth due to my own experience with tolerance. It truly has been a bitch. I'm in this for pain management, but nonetheless ...I'd give anything to go back to the days years ago when 10mg hydrocodone worked.
I'm now in a position where 100mcg fentanyl patches q48 h along with 75mg oxycodone IR q4h doesn't give me adequate relief ...and I am 30yrs old, and it all started w hydrocodone.
Best of luck!

Couldn't have said it better... I don't know why I used to think being able to do a ton of drugs was cool. It sucks.

i personally hate cwe's because i feel like i always loose some active ingredient. If you're good at them then by all means go for it.

I've been getting 5/500 vicodin and taking them by the 7-8(usually dose 5 at once, then one more every 30 mins so it lasts a lil longer).
At least you don't have 500mg apap/per pill.
