is this right? (coke/crack question)

ok. so lets say one has some coke, but its crap. (speedy/numbing, but no euphoria...) anyway, been reading on the site how to convert to crack, and decided to try it (baking soda method b/c its easier....) anyway, seemed to recover these white flakes and when i tried to burn them, they melted super quickly and turned into a dark orangey glue type material that really smells bad. does this sound right to anybody?
also, i tried lighting it just from a lighter on aluminium foil. r there other effective ways to somke it without owning a pipe? thanks for the help.

The reason it smells bad and turns to a orange/dark material is because your also burning baking soda... Thats why you really should use ammonia, its a lot cleaner... Do a search, there are some methods to be found such as smoking it on some ash in a pipe, that may work better than aluminum.....

You really need a direct flame to work best. Chunk the foil and buy/ make a pipe.

Deus and RJW are both correct...
You need to use less baking soda, if the freebase percipitate doesnt form you can always add more.. I am not a BIG FAN of the ammonia method but it does work well..
As for making a pipe - you GOTTA apply a direct flame... just indent the side of a can, poke lots of holes, put cigeratte ashes over the holes, put yer crack on that, then torch!
