Is this normal with Focalin?

Ok so my first bluelight post. So anyway I'm not real experienced with drugs on the whole, I have smoked weed daily for about a year and messed around with oxy's a couple of times, anyway I recently acquired a full bottle of Focalin XR 10's and I have been railing them on and off for like 4-5 days usually doing 10-20 mg at a time with a max of about 100mg in a day. Most of the time I do between 20-60mg's. So now for my questions. First of I've noticed that about if I do about 30 mg's spaced out over an hour or two, my heart rate will spike to ~100-115 bpm then drop to 75-90 bpm after about 20 minutes, is this normal? The first couple times I did 20mg it had my heart racing for hours.

Also another strange thing I noticed is that I can bump 20mg and go to bed right after, one day I took 20mg at about 5 in the morning after being up all night (speeding the whole time) and I just decided I was gunna lay down on the couch, next thing I knew I was waking up 5 hours later, and it's happened a few other times within 20-30 minutes of consumption, anyway I've heard of people who are kept up for days after taking lots of adderall, focalin, ect.. so I was wondering if this is normal or if these things just come with continued abuse of Focalin.
Thanks.

Focalin seems to be very similar to Ritalin; anyway, those doses are pretty high. I wouldn't use daily unless you are prescribed to do so. Otherwise you're highly likely to run into most adverse side effects (first link from google is a govt page on the chem), and become physically dependent on the substance.

Regarding falling asleep: Well, you said yourself you had a speed-filled night. Crashing in extremely common. I bet you were still wired when you woke up though (especially as you're (ab)using XR's).

^Those doses are indeed pretty high.

You're experiencing tolerance, which is normal. It is also normal for heart rate (BPM) to increase when consuming stimulants, especially the high doses you're taking.

Crashing comes with the usage of stimulants. It's just the name of the game. Your body needs sleep. That factor, combined with the fact that you're taking high doses (which means your tolerance is jacking up) explains why you crashed out for a few hours.

My recommendation is to take a break from using the Focalin. Continued high dosage usage will result in even more unpleasant side effects.

These things come with the package of abusing stimulants, NeighboorhoodThreat's advice is going to be the best advice you can receive on the subject. Take a break.

The more breaks you take, the better off you will ultimately be.

Thanks for the feedback, That what I thought but I just wanted to make sure. I have no intentions of habitually using stims. I could see using them in situations where I have a lot to do or I just really want to pull an all nighter, but overall with how fast you build up a tolerance to Focalin I don't see the point in using them as near as frequently as I was with my little self experiment.

One thing I noticed though is that there really isn't a whole lot of information on Focalin available, compared to say Ritalin or Adderall. Is there a reason for that? Are they less perscribed, or just less abused than other stimulants? Just curious because Adderall is really common where I'm at but I'd never really heard of focalin until I was given this bottle.
