I know people say mixing uppers with downers is dangerous, but recently iv heard that its only actually dangerous if your mixing them in high dosages. Yesterday i took and Oxy while i did cocaine and whoa it was absolute. I took only 20mg Oxycodone (orally) and i snorted about a .1 of high quality cocaine. (and smoked Marijuana obviously but i don't really count that) What are the chances of these dosages inducing a heart attack or something else of that nature? keeping in mind i re-dose the cocaine about every hour if I'm in the middle of a session.

Really no way of knowing the risk. It is dangerous, that's all we know. Provided the dosages you're using are what you could handle normally, the danger is not that great.

I do meth with heroin all the time. I find it is better when I have been on speed for a few days, then do heroin.

The other day, I was on heroin, and did meth. It felt kinda funny. The meth kind of busted through the heroin high and after about 4 hours I felt funny.

The oft stated "danger" with "speedballs" is that one of the drugs (usually the cocaine in a cocaine/heroin speedball) wears off before the other and you are thrown into respiratory depression. I don't think mixing stimulants and opiates is as "dangerous" as often believed, it's a well known trick for serious pain control and migitation of (some) opioid side effects.

I think the cocaine is the biggest cardiotoxic factor there, but it's impossible to just provide "odds" that you will have a heart attack without also knowing your e.g. lifestyle, body weight, genetic history...

Im a 19 year old male who hardly ever excersizes and i go through periods where im eating way to much, or nothing at all, on a regularbasis and i usualy sit around and play poker all day

edit: i weigh 154 pounds and im 6'0 and my dad has never had a heart attack i dont think, and enither has my mom or grandmom but i think my dads dad may have died of one possibly

You're not gonna be high risk for a heart attack at 19 unless you have an underlying cardiac abnormality. However, as sekio said, cocaine is cardiotoxic, and cocaine does cause heart attacks in young people. The reason why it is more dangerous than some stimulants is that it is a pretty potent vasoconstrictor, so not only does it cause your heart to beat faster, it also constricts the blood vessels supplying it with oxygen so less can be delivered to the tissue.

Oxycodone isn't going to increase your risk of a heart attack except that it will mask some of the stimulation from the cocaine, potentially causing you to take more than you otherwise would. Also respiratory depression would also reduce the amount of oxygen reaching your heart..

As sekio said there is also the risk that you will take too much of the downer, not realise as it is masked by the upper, then have a respiratory arrest when the upper wears off.

i mix uppers and downers a lot. (when i have both on hand of course)
i think the greatest risk is if you IV it.

i have done adderalls while i being addicted to oxy.

i have sniffed coke mixed with dope.
never felt like death was approaching me.

who knows tho, one day i might croak from this.

i would say start slow and work up. uppers put a big strain on your body.

Well, since you didn't IV, your doses are relatively safe. Whenever you use cocaine there is a danger of a heart attack. I was a coke addict for years, I am clean now but not "recovered". I don't believe the urge goes away. I don't think the weed made it anymore dangerous, I think the two things are the opiates and the coke. Since the half life of coke is less than the opiate.. basically if you were to use high doses of Oxy and then do the coke the coke would keep your heart going.. which is how most people die from speedballing (though a traditional speedball is IV coke and heroin). I'm not going to tell you it's completely safe and I am in no way telling you to IV. Just know that there is always a danger of heart problems and even TIA or a stroke. I had a TIA from some really high grade coke.. that was the last time for me. Your dosing of the coke is low, but depending on purity and cut it makes all the difference in the world. I had a TIA from a half gram of the most chronic shit I ever put in my nose. So it doesn't take alot. Whatever you do just be careful.

OP, have edited your title for ease of searching.

We've had threads like this before - no one can tell you a combination like that is 100% safe, or 100% is going to be dangerous, it's always going to be somewhere in between, and we can't possibly quantify exactly what the risk is.

I think between everyone we've explained all the potential risks - there isn't really much more we can do. If you mix the two, keep your doses low, be aware that one can mask the other and try not to redose too often, that's all we can say.

Going to close this now, but do pm me if you have any queries.
